"Too much water" Needs to die.

I'm annoyed by the large amount of people ridiculing IGN for the Pokémon ORAS review on their site, mainly because of the "Too much water" criticism that was given. It annoys me because so few people seem to realize what the reviewer was trying to get to. Here's a quote from the article: "Hoenn is still imbalanced type-wise, heavily favoring water. It’s especially noticeable in Alpha Sapphire, in which Team Aqua (the villains of the piece) use a lot of water types. It feels like there are water Pokémon in nearly every battle, and I have an overleveled Pikachu to show for it. You also have to navigate many bodies of water, since much of the late-game involves the HMs Surf and Dive to get from place to place. Diving was really neat back in 2002 when it was new, but I found it incredibly tedious in Alpha and Omega — an obvious example of how superfluous some HMs are." Not only was the reviewer critiquing the poor type balance, but also tying into an earlier critique about the overuse of HMs, which would be required for many areas and items. The reviewer was trying to say that there could've been massive improvements for these issues along with other parts of the game, but instead most people just skipped to the end and saw "Too much water". Was "Too much water" poorly written? Yes. Does it have a legitimate reason to be there? Yes. Does the reviewer deserve such heavy criticism from the gaming community? Not really. This whole mess is a result of a lack of research into the actual review from the community, and poor communication in the final summary from the reviewer. I'm not saying IGN is right on everything. I thought the game Thomas Was Alone was a masterpiece, but IGN didn't think of it that highly. I really like CoD Black Ops for its well-written story and great multiplayer, but IGN thought it was tame compared to BO2, a game that I still like, but not as much as the original. Many people hated their positive review of CoD Ghosts, and I can understand. But you have to remember, not only is IGN made up of multiple journalists, but they all have their separate opinions. Not everybody will agree with you on everything, and you need to realize that. IGN saying something you don't like or agree with should not automatically be bribery or incompetence, yet that's how many gamers view them, and it depresses me to see so much hate towards them. If you people are going to hate on IGN, at least give a valid reason, not just "I don't like their opinion" or "Too much water hurrdurr". If any of you guys have real, valid criticisms towards IGN with real ground to stand on, and not just conspiracies or anger towards their opinions, I'd be perfectly willing to listen.
