How to win (Almost) every Iron Banner/Control game
TL;DR: PUSH THE CAPTURE ZONES PLSSSS
Heres a list of things that give you score first:
From this list we are going to be excluding score earned from Vehicle Kills and Class Specific Kills.
Capturing Zones: 75 points per person towards score.
A.) So if all six team members on the starting zone, then you will get a maximum of 450 team score at the start.
B.) The more people that are on a zone while it is being capture, the more points you will gain towards the team score.
C.) Try to have at least 4 on the starting point and 2 running for B (Or what ever zone)
Zone Holding: 50 points every kill per zone owned.
A.) Y = Total sum of score earned from kill. X = Amount of zones captured. 100 + 50x = y
B.) If you only have one zone captured, then try to get kills to sustain the score difference, while at the same time try to push to get zone B (Or what ever zone is desired).
C.) NEVER TRIPLE CAP!
Zone Neutralization: 25 Points per person towards score.
A.) Once again, if all six members are on the point you will gain 150
B.) The more people that are on a zone while it is being capture, the more points you will gain towards the team score.
Zone Assault: 25 Points per kill towards score.
A.) Zone Assaults only happen when you kill an enemy in your/their zone or vice versa.
B.) If you're going to contest a zone, make sure you have enough fire power to take on what ever is thrown at you.
Gaining kills: 100 Points per kill.
A.) Try to get as many kills as you can without dying. Don't be the guy who runs into a 1v5 because you have your blade dancer.
B.) Melee kills give 10 extra points = 110.
C.) Headshot kills give 10 extra points = 110.
D.) Super kills give 25 extra points = 125.
E.) Heavy kills give 15 extra points = 115.
F.) *One Zone + One Kill = 150.
F1.) *Two Zones + One kill = 200.
F2.) *Three Zones + One kill = 250.
G.) Assists give 50 points = 50.
Now that those are out of the way, on to the post. It wont be that long, I promise.
With the idea that capturing zones is "lost cause" is most likely whats causing your team to lose. Although capturing the zones does not passively generate Team Score for you and you don't want to capture them, which makes sense because you don't want to waste time being out of the firefight, they still increase the amount of score you get per kill. It goes something like this; You get 100 score per kill, if you own one zone you get +50 added to each kill. The equation for the amount you get is 100 + 50x = y (Y = Total sum of score earned from kill. X = Amount of zones captured.) If you look at how this works then you will learn that... THE CAPTURE ZONES ARE NOT USELESS. I've had plenty of games where comebacks have been made from a seven thousand score difference, all because our team pushed B point and were finally able to hold A/C and B and earn more score than the enemy team because we earn 100 extra points per kill rather than 50. So with this post I conclude with, PUSH THE DAMN ZONES!
