You still think Match Making on Raids and NF's are a bad idea? Seriously? SERIOUSLY!?!?

Look, we have like 4 LFG websites that have a decent amount of traffic on a Daily bases. If you aren't going to give us Match Making, we will make our own with or without and you can't do shit about it, unless you gave us a match making system. See, by not giving us a match making system, you are pushing a certain expirence of the game completely out of your control and onto these 3rd party websites in which we run into Trolls, deeply Incompetent players (or More trolls, can never be sure) And Elitist Pricks. You are hurting your own community more by simply just not giving us a match making system, And I'm sorry it's a quality of life thing, since this seems to be such a "big" thing for you this expansion with Collections and Weapon Blueprints (if you had thought about it even a little bit, you would have realized the problem with so many shaders and Emblems and weapons in the first place. How could you not? You clearly did not think long term for this, and many many many other things. ) But back to the Match Making. It is a Quality of life thing. Do you know how many people come home after working 8+ hour days, don't have the time after everything else to put an entire group together on an LFG site and then raid? It's a huge pain in the ass. Edit* Hai7us brought up Clans, and the purpose of clans is to have people to play with on a regular basis, and that would be perfectly fine and acceptable if clans had ANY kind of in game intergration other than just the Clan Name on your Name plate. Beside a Trophy, Clans are a completey useless feature in Destiny, because you have made them Useless. On top of that you run into other problems i mentioned before with these LFG sites^. The people that are going to get World Firsts or complete it on hard consistently are going to be the ones that have a pre-made 6 man group. But guess what? You have casual raiders that may never see it on hard mode until the Next Expansion comes out. Whatever Developers still want to defend Match Making for Raids and Nightfalls, please, think with your brain. Look how much people like PoE, because the 28 has MATCHMAKING!!!! You can make this hard, and we can bitch at you in the forums for the next 9 years (cause it's only year 1 people), or you can make this easy and give us what we want. We buy your shit after all. You are essentially nothing without us. For the rest of the Community, Can you think of other reasons to have Match Making other than what i listed? Edits- Community Quotes or Points made: Kaidra: Quote "Apparently not playing content is preferable to possibly having a bad experience with AFKers etc etc...": It does not have to be standard Match Making. How about a catered system for raids? Also it seems as if everyone agrees this should be Optional Match Making, which i agree with.

    • I would be so be for Matchmaking, except for the following reasons that exist: --blam!- it over -AFK -Troll -Ignorance -Rude -Doesn't listen -Bad BAD mic(I can handle echo, but I can't handle echo with buzzing while your fan AND dishwasher are both on in the background) -Inexperienced Players(sometimes)

    • Yes, if it is not optional it is a bad idea. Optional I am all for it.

    • I'd like to add that I don't have unlimited amounts of time to build a network of gamers that want to do exactly wtf I plan on doing the second I turn on Destiny, let alone having to consistently add people from LFG sites and not get added, and have to sit and wait for a team to pop up. I have done ALL of the content with random players, and even have friends who play on PS4, but in all honesty, I wish I could just jump into a game and play, and not have to wait an hour or two or four to run one goddamn raid, is it too much to ask for the option to be able to play the game I paid for? I know a lot of these guys have huge networks of friends piled on their list, but I don't, and I don't find it really necessary to have to add every goddamn person I play with because it's a pain in the ass to do so. Literally gotta jump through hoops to play the good content. They had no problem dropping the prices for the xpac, but to add matchmaking for casual players who have actual jobs, and have actual responsibilities outside the console, is such a big feat? You know, I make a lot of money, and would be willing to pay more if it wasn't so hard to play. Even bought FF online because I was just sick of having to run strikes because I couldn't make team for PoE or any of the raids. It's a big F U to all the casual players.

    • OMFG, we have been asking for "OMM WHICH STAN FOR OPTIONAL MATCHMAKING" if you people in here not want any noob to join your fuqing team then you simply just need to turn it of. Your brain doesn't work well does it. How stupid are you people is exactly. I have been playing destiny long enough to say that it's not hurt to add OMM at all. Even if you go to LFG website there are still a lot of noob who doesn't know what to do anyway.

    • I've never done a raid or nightfall because of this. (Although I have attempted both solo. Nightfalls just are not fun to me when that challenging) I come from a generation of gamers that were a bit less social, and as an adult most of my gamer friends from college have moved on to other things. This, finding groups of friends to play destiny with, would be great back in high school and college, but I'm a grown-ass man, I ain't got time for that nonsense now. I'm not looking to make new life long friends. I just want to play and enjoy the game to its full extent (and to get the game rewards for putting so much time into the game) It wouldn't be a problem if matchmaking was optional and they just require you to have a mic. Rant over, back to street fighter beta. Charlie Nash FTW!

      • I have always felt that the tower could benefit from a lfg zone or group area..where we could find and recruit teammates for whatever activity we are looking to do. As it is, the tower does not encourage grouping. I vote to add a group feature to the tower and remove the shitty auto matchmaking that is currently in place for heroic strikes...keep it in pvp and regular strikes.

      • I would like anyone who opposes any kind of optional in-game lfg system to explain how any system that allows more players to access content and potentially meet and friend other players could possibly be a bad thing. The only difference between in-game lfg and third party sites is that Bungie would be able to monitor and regulate use and abuse.

        • It will ruin the raid experience.... You would get stuck with a person who is undergeared, unskilled, no mic, afk, and be unable to kick him. Probably won't even pass the first part and then come the nerf raid post it's to hard..... No one of any skill would use it because they would know it's a waste of time. An in game lfg would be cool to see who wants to do the raid and then a group leader can invite/kick at their discretion.

        • Having a match made nightfall or raid would be funny as shit to watch i think. What youre missing in all the pointless BS you puked out was that in a match-made raid or NF , you are going to get the worst players and those just looking for a carry. Noone who is good or knows what theyre doing would ever do this. Having you been in the strike playlist lately? Ya, pretty bad. Try that in a NF or kings fall and you would have a very high failure rate. More likely, you (and others calling for this stupidity) are the ones noone wants to run with because youre a burden to the team. Having said that, i back matchmade NF or raids 100%.... if only for the laugh i will surely get out of it.

        • . How many kids searching for someone to do a simple nightfall with, have had to first slog through hordes of creeps and weirdos stating they will help them, if they first send them a picture of themselves or their address or mom and dad's credit card! It's disgusting! These are real issues, and what's worse is that activision/Bungie seem to promote this kind of sickness "it's not our policy to offer a safe environment for our community" it's the equivalent of a soccer coach telling your kids that they have to run around the neighborhood to find their teammates! We parents are tired of it!

Here we go again, it's like the carousel trap in Saw VI, round and round... Instead of repeating my arguments, I'll just pass off some conversations and situations that would occur if this clusterfuc-k of a system were ever to be implemented. Spawn in on Templar. A level 26 grabs the relic simply because he saw the glowing icon. Templar pops in but relic holder doesn't know how to use it. "Let us know when you have a super!" You shout into your mic. But the 26 does not have a mic. He jumps around like an idiot. Boom! Oracle appears to his right. "Take out the oracle!" No one in this group in fact has a mic except you. In fact, you're the only one who even bothered to enter the fireteam chat. The other four simply shoot the endless pool of enemies, ignoring the oracle. Everyone's screen turns green. Oh no! The five noobs panic completely clueless as what's happening. You run to the relic holder. "Cleanse me! Cleanse me god damn it!!!" He doesn't know what buttons do anything. Soon all six of you guys die. Relic is dropped and the other five question just what the fuc-k went wrong! "We were doing just fine! Why did our screens go greenish?" Abort. Next time you enter a match made VoG, you spawn in the Gorgon maze. You start to jump up to get the exotic chest but two team members begin to ignore it as they've already gotten the chest while the other three see a Harpy and shoot it. The screen goes all weird along with a buzz sound and your team dies. Spawn back in. You jump up to the rocks once more. Four people from your team now know not to shoot but the fifth doesn't know why. He sees the Gorgon and shoots once more. Zap, dead! Abort. Third time you actually get in on the Atheon fight. Two guys stand in the back wall area unloading their heavy weapons on Atheon. He shoots them, kills both. You and two others know to take cover but a forth gets to a better angle and shoots with his base value Icebreaker he just bought from Xur. Unaware of how powerful Atheon is, he goes into the red from his blasts then while trying to flee, falls down the bottomless pit. Atheon opens time stream but no ones alive to open Mars or Venus. Three seconds later, the rest of the team drops dead. Abort. So all in all you just wasted over an hour with the matchmaking made system Bungie has given in to while LFG is right there. There to hook you up with a sturdy all 34 all Ghorn bearing group who know VoG to the letter. I can't be the only one who thinks like this. And these examples are just based off of noobs in the raid. Let's not forget people going AFK, people intentionally sabotaging the raid, people coming in just to snag the checkpoint then leave, or simply unskilled players who can't hold their own. Throw in hard mode and forget about it. The raid system was designed to be done with people who can all communicate via headsets, know what to do and can play well. I still see people in VoG who even after nearly a year, still do not know how to use relic in VoG! For crying out loud! Look on YouTube, GameFAQS, anything! There's a treasure trove of guides out there people! No match made raids is the best thing Destiny has going. Case closed.
