New strike was terrible. How horrible. What terrible people at Bungie made th- Oh wait...

I mean seriously. How terrible. All it had was •New enemy mechanics •New area to play in •Multiple enemy spawns per strike •Different dialogue each time you play •New boss mechanics •Enemy traps for guardians •Showed swords in action •Shows in depth subclass builds •Showed artifacts •Showed new weapons •Two bosses •No bullet sponge bosses •Nowhere super safe to stand and cheese •Showed scanning items •Vanguard and ghost giving dialogue and lore while in the strike •New rewards specific to each strike And even though all we do on these forums is complain about bullet sponge bosses, and bitch that strikes take too long, we’re going to also whine that this strike was TOO SHORT AND DIDN’T HAVE BULLET SPONGE BOSSES. You people seriously befuddle me. So you’d rather have a boss with predictable movement and spawns? You’d rather they be bullet sponges? You’d rather they take an hour? Just in case you didn’t watch the stream, let me explain the boss fight. A huge ultra red centurion comes charging like a bull out of a huge door because your ghost is trying to defuse their bomb. But he isn’t a centurion. He’s charging at you with a jetpack and sword, stomping and slamming the ground around you, dealing great damage. Once you start damaging him, he summons reinforcements and once you get him to about 60% health, he runs away into a door. You can still damage him while he’s running. Once you clear adds, a huge blue cabal comes out of the door with a jetpack and mortar strapped to his back. He fires mortar rounds at you, that really hurt. They do have hang time, being mortar shells, and you can tell where they will land by blue circles on the ground. You have seconds to move away. He fires at a fast fire rate and summons more adds to kill you. Once he gets to 60%, he too runs away while you clear adds. Once they are dead, both he and his red brother come charging. This time, mortar guy has a bubble shield and increased damage. Red sword guy leaves sunspots where he slams which damage you while inside. Once one dies, the other takes the gear he had. So he can fire mortar shells and slash you with his sword at the same time. He also regains some health when his brother dies. If you can kill him, the strike ends. So my question is; You people got what you wanted. WHAT DO YOU WANT??? Edit: All arguments in here are blind hate. If anything has a cabal helmet, to you people, it's a reskin. In so, I'm done replying to people. They were 4 levels above. That's why it was easy and short. (I posted that early on when I read all of them at 200 replies when they were nothing but "RESKIN this and that")

      • Its still no challange boss mechanics.... Compare it to vog...there is no challange other then boss fire and adds. A gh is still the solution to your problem. Dps ia still the most important thing you need to beat them.

          • Oh, you forgot one more thing... THE GUARDIANS WERE MAXED LEVEL PLAYING THE NORMAL VERSION OF THE STRIKE!!! They ran through easy mode and everyone thought (for whatever reason) that it is going to be that easy when they start it up!

              • Lol, the bosses are also bullet sponges. I can't see any mechanics at all. You shoot one boss until his health goes down and then another boss comes out and you also just shoot him and then both of them comes out and you shoot them both til they die. Bullets sponges

                  • Kill mobs , kill tank, kill bosses. Never seen a strike like it. Well except Valus, oh and Sepkis. Boss fight did look interesting at least.

                  • This strike is probably one of the best so far. The boss doesnt stand there taking rockets to the face and damaging single targets. These guys deal splash damage, leave stuff behind to damage you, and actually move! Good job

                  • I liked the strike. But I was disappointed the stream showed the hammer and lightning supers multiple times and never showed the hunter (from first person view). I mean, we got sorta a look when at one point the player called out "they are tethered" and you could see the purple tendrils, but that wasn't much of a look.

                    • The strike looked good... however I didn't like how they went about it. I kept thinking to myself that Deej has to be sitting there like "What the Fck guys..." "Let's skip this" "Let's run by these guys" It's like they didn't go over how to play the strike before hand. They should have fleshed it out and showed us everything instead of trying to rush it like they did. And for the love of GOD. Why do people like Mr. Fruit? He is so mind numbingly boring and his humor is so incredibly childish. If you are into that stuff more power to you, I just don't see how he has the mass following he does.

                      • Destiny was a massive dissapointment with many unfixed problems. Where is the open world? Where is the rich and immersive storytelling? Why was Saturn advertised as available in the base game but is now being sold as DLC? What about horrendous connection problems? What about the repetetive, dull and unrewarding endgame content that involves beating those 6 strikes over and over again? That's why we complain. Because it raises awareness of problems and pressures the people who can fix them to do so. And it has worked so far. The TTK pricing was fixed because people bitched about it and caused an uproar, not because people made posts about how much they loved bungie. So we won't stop bitching until the problems are fixed or we've moved on.

                        • When a store runs out of cheese the manager orders more. When the manager orders more cheese the customer will know exactly where to find it. When the customer finds it, they realize the manager will always order it and occasionally worry the manager decided not to sell it anymore or he moved it's location. The manager will never run out of cheese, he may move the location of the cheese. You look nice today.

                              • Something I thought I should add... There are things called vocal minorities, aka, the loudest people on forums who have the strongest opinions. The way I see it happens: one vocal minority will advocate for a change, and when it gets implimented a counter vocal minority will start complaining about how they didn't want the change. Everyone else just sits there wondering "Wtf, can't this community make up its mind?" The answer is no. For the same reason why countries aren't of one mind and opinion. Bungie has to be very careful to implimented things that the majority wants, but in ways that certain minorities won't hate to the point of quitting or smashing the forums with their complaints. I'm sure that Bungie does its best to make the decisions that will retain the most players, and/or acquire the most new ones. But unlike countries where you generally have to suck it up if something passes that you don't like, Bungie has it hard because players can leave at any time. I'm sure they've been having a particularly rough year getting accustomed to MMO-type aspects and retaining large player populations on the same ever-changing game-- which I would guess is way out of their Halo comfort zone.
