Here is a quick basic Ghost HUD suggestion I'd like to make.
Apart from the adjustment in layout I'd like to suggest the new Weapon Cycle feature while In Combat.
Instead of having to return to the character menu to swap out weapons for a given situation after first finding cover and then waiting for the icons etc to load you could now swap weapons on the fly by just bring out Ghost.
Up and Down on the DPAD would swap weapon class (Primary, Secondary, Heavy)
Left and Right would swap to the next/previous weapon of that class (Auto/Pulse, Shotgun/Sniper, Machine Gun/Rocket Launcher etc)
This would allow Guardians to swap out weapons and still see what is going on during a battle.

I certainly like it, the item tracker would definitely be useful. I would say that I would replace the up / down weapon swap with 'up' to use a heavy ammo synthesis, 'down' to use a special ammo synthesis. I would also argue that being able to cycle all your different weapons goes against their 3 weapon design choice. The choice of your 3 weapons would become less meaningful if you could swap them out that quickly, changing them out should be risky for the player in my opinion.
