So stick with me here. We've all seen the matchmaking posts. We've all seen Bungie shoot them down too. So I got thinking about how the tower and the reef are called "social" spaces and I think that they were likely intended to be places to meet new guardians. Now while this may happen, we know that it's mostly a place to pickup bounties, etc and engage in dance offs or inspect other players. Not a whole ton of "meeting" going on here. So tried to think of how to remedy that. Maybe game chat in social spaces? Nah. We all know that would be a bunch of ten year olds rapping about Cheetos and before you know it everyone would be mass muting social spaces. So then I thought, what about kiosks at specific social spaces for specific events? You could put your name in or check in. Wait there for other guardians to come inspect you and invite you to a party. Maybe you would make some new friends. I actually think this is an excellent idea and a far better alternative to the app recruitment process. Problem with this is that Bungie is in the crunch with TTK. I don't think they've got the time or resources in the next few weeks (or months for that matter) to implement such a feature. Boo hoo for us. So given how amazing this community is I thought, why not implement this ourselves, now. If we bump the heck out of this (and even share this in the recruitment forum), we could get the word out on specific areas in the social areas to go hang out in if you are looking to team up for certain events. For example: Crota- Go hang out by Eris. PoE- Go hang out by Variks ToO- Go hang out by Disciple of Osiris VOG- Go hang out by the big tree Nightfall- Go hang out in the bar by the shipwright But......I'm open to any other suggestions. Tell me what you think. If it's a dumb idea my feelings won't be hurt but if you are digging it then bump the poops out of this.
