Since I need an outlet of like-minded nerds and you old guys are the best I'm going to get, I've decided I'm going to see if anyone wants to talk about the books we have read when we are not busy dying on the VoG jump puzzle.
This weeks book club recommendation is Ready Player One (RP1).
I have mentioned it to a few of you online, but want to see if anyone has read it or get your feedback, or just geek out about it.
The bottom line up front: If you are a child of the 80's and enjoyed everything from D&D to Blade Runner, you will enjoy this book.
I first read RP1 about a year ago and have listened to it on Audible many times since. I tend to have to listen to books to fall asleep since my time in Iraq. Ernst Cline (author) has since written another book titled Armada that I just finished today. It was a solid book, but I don't think it holds a candle to RPO. In fact, Stephen Spielberg recently accounted that he is going to be making and directing an RP1 movie.
The YouTube link is just the prelude chapter, but the whole thing is available on YouTube if you don't feel like buying it or getting it in Audio form like I did.
Anyway, listen to the link I shared and let me know what you think.

All I can say is READ IT!, if you haven't already. I'm a product of 1985 so anything to do with 80's tunes, movies, games is cool with me. 5/5 stars and is now one of my top 3 all time reads. Thanks G for the recommendation. I will look forward to reading more from Cline.
