HOW TO MAKE XUR "NOT RUIN TTK" as some people would say (BUNGIE USED THIS IDEAAAA)

First of all TheGreatNike and SmoggyPluto is just atracting people (is true too, they actually supported it), for what I've seen the people tends to visit the controversial posts, not the usefull ones wich is pretty sad.
Title :"How to make xur not ruin ttk" AS SOME PEOPLE SAY, I wouldn't say he ruins the game, I think that he is a good idea, but poorly executed.

Xur should sell weapon engrams (in exchange of strange coins) or different weapons to everyone instead of the same.
Think about it, xur (who works through RNG) is the guy who is able to ruine the rarity of every exotic in just two days(except ps exclusives).He will keep doing it in ttk, imagine that he sells the lightning auto rifle, everybody would have it and it rarity feeling would be ruined instantly (its rarity should be ruined, I mean that everybody should end getting it, but no thaaaat fast and while no one still has the firelord just because xur didn't sell it).
Xur selling exotic weapon engrams (limited to 1 w. engram per account per week) or different weapons would fix it. I could get the tex mechanica shotgun while my friend gets the blinding sniper or a hawkmoon, wich will be in xur's loot table in TTK. Getting pre TTK exotics should be a risk, xur wouldn't sell every week the new exotics anyways.
1. Xur wouldn't ruin guns unique feeling, at least on a single weekend.
2. It's inventory wouldn't be a disappointment anymore, it would be a chance, a hope...
3. Remember the RNG improvement, the weapons you don't have have a higher chance to drop (don't expect too much btw)
It's the same as the xur's RNG but more personal focused so "it wouldn't ruin the exotics or the game" as some people would say.
BUMP IT so Deej or Cozmo read it and Luke Smith makes our dreams come true.
It isn't because of the gjallahorn btw, I'm happy for who got it this weekend so they can try it pre-nerf, theres are better weapons incoming.

EDIT 2: Some people is confused about it, you can get one engram per account each week (max 1 engram per week), the idea is just diversify the xur's loot so everyone gets different exotics, making everyone have "his rare too see exotic" and not killing its special feeling in just 2 days, not letting you get from xur multiple different exotics in just one week.
EDIT 3: What happened in week 3?? Xur sold the suros, everyone got it, some people without even having one legendary.
Everyone used it, it was almost the only primary weapon I got killed in the crucible for a month. It became op just because no one had better guns to use (even the shadow price had a better time to kill, it still does) and because its glass half full, bungie nerfed the weapon overall so hard, not just its exotic perk.
Just saying that this system could have prevented it. The last word have been ever more broken (and it hasn't been nerfed) than the suros, come on... how many people did you instakill with the suros??
If TLW would had been sold instead the suros on week 3 it would be the unusable gun, not the suros.
It could happen again... In TTK, destiny 2 or whenever you want, xur has to be fixed.

I kinda think that Xur's loot table is there for those who arent talented enough to do the raid's and nightfalls consistently (because that is where RNG drops the best stuff usually) but are good enough to get enough strange coins and buy the items. sure it takes away from the exotic feel of them in the sense that everyone has them but at the same time exotics arent called exotics for just that reason. they are exotic because they are powerful and have perks that stand out from the rest of the field of weapons. when i think of exotics i think of uniqueness. you have the field which is everything legendary and down that share all the same primary perks. then you have the Uniqueness of the exotics which have one standard primary perk slot and then the other primary perk slot is what essentially makes the gun what it is. dont base your opinion of what makes a gun exotic or not by how many people have it but by what makes the gun unique. So sure Xur comes with a few bugs and makes it easier for the lesser players in the game to get exotics but in reality that is why i think he is there. for the lesser players of the game that have a hard time getting the exotics any other way.

This annoying trend of "rarity" is nothing more than a subjective sense. It's a video game. Everyone who plays ultimately wants everything. If you got lucky with RNG, great; if you are unlucky, no worries because Xûr is here. If a random person has a gun and you feel annoyed by it, that's your problem. People take things too seriously and forget why we play video games: for enjoyment, for relaxation, not to get stressed out.

1 Replyno support. one item /week/profile is just dumb. seeing how well engrams works now no one would ever get what they want just endless sunbrakers. bought 4 arm engrams before and they were all sun brakers and i only had a hunter at that time PS yes i know RNG is supposed to get better but i highly doubt it

My belief is that in Destiny, weapons and gear "rarity" isn't based on how hard they are to find but how high quality, and powerful they are. Exotics are highly powerful, not highly rare. They also have some hard to acquire exotics that are tied to end game content an play. They are more rare but If you want them you know where to get them. I think everyone should experience every weapon and every piece of armor. The games loot system is random enough, and Xur is a balance to that randomness.

No. Rarity is overrated. After TTK the RNG drop rate will raise to allow the system offer weapons/gear you do not have already. Is a way to prevent the same drop over and over. If this happens as it is intended, then there won't be nothing special about Xûr: weps/gear will appear ingame often making him less important. On the other hand: why you people are obsessed with being "special" and have "unique weapons"? Look at Thorn or Gally, at the end anyone gets it and then: nothing cool anymore.

I like knowing what I am purchasing and being able to get copies for other characters is nice too. I don't care what other people are using. With that your Suros example is bad because it was week 3 and it was the first powerful weapon people got. What weapon is the most common in the crucible right now? Thorn. What doesn't Xur sell? Thorn. They recently sold TLW and.... besides a few days after that, there has been no upturn in its use. Xur has already sold every weapon multiple times, people have already bought them, people already own the weapons. This will happen again. Your solution solves a diversification issue at launch, but after a month or so, it won't make a difference. In fact it will just infuriate people that are looking for a specific weapon. In the long run Xur will have been guaranteed to sell every weapon. This wouldn't be the case if he sold and engram. By the fact that you can only wield one exotic at a time forces people to meta to the best exotic for the situation. What happened, Gjallerhorn became a requirement. I could not get it to drop for the life of me. I was able to snag it from Xur when he sold it. I would not be opposed to him offering a set exotic to everyone and an exotic engram every week.. The exotic engram available once per account per week and it locks out the purchase of his chosen weapon. Likewise purchasing the chosen weapon locks out the engram. That way if he sells something you are missing you can get it. Or you can gamble for something else. Just remember, Xur is there for Casual players or those getting screwed over by RNG.

I'm honestly not worried about the rarity of a weapon unless I don't have it. If the weapon's available to everyone, then I don't see a reason to care. There's no trade market where rarity increases value. Otherwise, it's all ego. People need to stop worrying about what other people have and focus on themselves.

Personally I couldn't care less how many other people have exotic X, all I'm worried about is, is it worth using to me. While I've yet to see the new RNG, I'm not expecting much change there based on Bungie's track record of 'improving' these types of things. And adding anything to RNG makes it more frustrating for people. Limiting the engrams per week sinks this totally for me personally. The balance argument is something that applies to every good weapon & is a PvP issue Bungie isn't resolving. Just my 2 cents.
