The Webcam Wonders - Phenomenon IV
Hello Septagon,
I was looking at the Bungie Webcams and I noticed a post-it was placed on the whiteboard in the "Rock God Cam". [url=http://i395.photobucket.com/albums/pp36/BWO-Magoo/KillaneProof.jpg] Here[/url] is the image, it was placed there by [url=http://www.bungie.net/fanclub/bwoproject/Group/news.aspx?type=news&cid=453136]Killane.[/url]
After seeing that image, I thought about a cool new thing that could help to promote good behaviour in the forums (however unlikely that is), or to just give the members something to look forward to.
Welcome to [i][b]The Webcam Wonders[/i][/b]! Stosh will be randomly choosing one member from the Bungie.net forums to be featured in the [url=http://www.bungie.net/Inside/webcam.aspx]Bungie.net Webcam[/url]. The member he chooses, will get their name written on a post-it or anything Stosh has close at hand and they will get added to the list of Webcam Wonders at the bottom of this post.
This will inevitably cause members to be more helpful, in the hopes of getting their name on the Webcam. Members could be chosen at random for things like, saying something amusing on the forums, helping someone out, posting an incredibly good idea(s), etc.

Stosh has said that he will give this a go. Please [u][b]do not[/b][/u] bug him with "[i]I can haz get on webcam?[/i]", as it will most likely result in a ban/warning, and also reduce your chances of getting your name featured in the Bungie.net Webcams.
Each "Webcam Wonder" will get their name featured in the title of this thread.

I find this very interesting, and I personally think this could be a great and growing idea, if all ends well. For the Webcam picture you provided a link to, I knew Killane worked at Bungie. ;-)

The problem is they require someone on the inside, which means someone has to give up time, time that they're being paid to spend on something that is usually not us, and direct it towards something that provides no return. It's generally not feasible, unfortunately :(.

I could ask him if he would be able to write a couple of names on a post-it once a week, but I can't promise anything.

Aaah, I remember the days when folk were thrown onto the Webcam. I was on it once, I believe. I miss it. I wish there was more user-interaction like this again. The only sense of it in recent years was when Mr_Hand (the various persons that he was) was stalking us. I think it's a case of whether or not the guys will have enough time to do something like this; but my hopes are that they try :)

Oh, lol, I thought you meant the other guy below me. (That did not sound right) Besides that, I meant in other words that if Bungie brought back the feature with members in the webcam pics, then the thread (In the Top Forum Topics), [b]Bungie Webcam[/b] would spark up in activity for sure.

Meh, I wouldn't really care all that much. Might get me to shape up a bit more, but I don't think it would have too big of a change to behavior. That and only the Septagon community really pays any attention to the Webcam. For the most part it's ignored by most of the other forum members.
