I'm going to try not to make a huge post here but I know everyone always gets upset when they see cheaters in PvP, specifically Trials of Osiris.
While it's all good and well that Bungie will investigate reports of cheaters, I feel like players should have more of an incentive to report. Hear me out.
Not only do you have the satisfaction of knowing the reported player will hopefully be banned, but I believe Bungie should reward all players who correctly report a player who in turn receives that ban.
Of course, you're not instantly rewarded upon reporting a player, but if Bungie investigates reports and finds that player at fault, all those who reported them should get some small package, perhaps containing Passage Coins. Think of it as compensation for having to deal with the cheaters. If you ran into them and they ruined your Trials run, you probably spent a good handful of Passage Coins on boons for your Trials Passage. Not to mention the time you may have already put into that specific Passage.
This would help to offset the discouragement some players may get from running into a cheater in ToO. They may not want to come back. This way, they're refunded some Passage Coins as a 'thank you' for helping to bring cheaters to justice.
What do you guys think about this?
Whatever you vote, I'm curious to hear why you agree or disagree!
