What Destiny Needs Before The Final Expansion Drops and What Must be in Destiny 2

Recently Cozmo created a wish list forum, which begs why having this post in the first place. The answer, this is a demand list. These plus any reasonable additions in the comments are what Destiny needs to have by the final expansion (not TTK) and then what must be in Destiny 2. Note these are my clan's opinion, and may differ from other people. Feel free to discuss why an idea is good, bad, not feasible, and add your own. Many of these may already be on Cozmo's forum, but again these are demands, not "oh it would be nice." First Destiny must have by the final expansion: 1) Private Crucible Matches What is one of the main problems with Destiny? Lack of End Game Content. However that is an MMO problem. For PVP players instead of having to play with the meta for months on end over and over, they can play custom matches with friends. No Land Beyond only? Sounds awesome. It is rather embarrassing for Bungie that such a sustaining element of the Halo franchise was neglected. If you want to fix loss of interest, allow players the freedom to do what they want against their friends. 2) Sparrow Racing I get a timebreaker every single run through VoG, I would really enjoy being able to use it for something productive. Honestly it seems like sparrows were already equipped for this since the beginning. Adding this would create a new competitive field in Destiny. And if Bungie is afraid about loot: Sparrows, ships, and shaders could be the drops, of legendary and exotic tier. 3) More Meaningful Clan Interactions Clans should have purpose. If a group, big or small, works hard to represent its clan, then they should be given the ability to make custom shaders, and be able to order reskinned guns from the gunsmith. It would help increase clan participation beyond raids and crucible, and eventually have Destiny reach a diversity that was attempted by the factions. 4) Increased Vault Space This is no surprise, and honestly this is probably the problem that will break Destiny if not solved. There is not going to be enough vault space to hold all the exotic weapons in the game when TTK launches. If that is the case then how will there be enough space when the expansion drops after that, or after that? If I can't hold legendary in TTK, how will I even hold Exotics by the final expansion. Fix it. Even if it is hard, this is a gamebreaking problem. 5) Content Volume By the end of Destiny it should have three to four times as much content as it had at launch. I expect TTK to bring it up to 2, so only one to two more raids in the next expansions, as well as at least 2 new endgame contents that don't have to be raids, as well as about as many story missions as have been released so far. Mercury and Phobos need to be opened up for patrol and a myriad of missions. These are changes needed by the end of Destiny. However Destiny 2 is a different story. You should not purchase this game if the only difference is that there is more vault space, and you don't lose ammo when switching special weapons. Here are what Destiny 2 needs to justify its purchase. 1) Exceedingly More Content Than Vanilla Destiny At launch, for its 60 dollar price tag. It needs to have as much content non related to original Destiny as Vanilla Destiny, both season pass expansions, and The Taken King. Vanilla Destiny was a rip off, and the legendary edition is a more reasonable version of the game at a much higher quality. Destiny 2 will be of the same calibur. They should not be allowed to sell people who bought the launch game what ends up being a 60 dollar game for 140 dollars. (160 if you are getting the CE bonus items). 2) Either a new class and possibly race, or 2 new element types and subclasses to match (At Launch) Even if #1 is granted, Destiny 2 needs to add something far more substantial than what equates to an expansion. New Subclasses, Element Types, An entirely new class in general, all can add to the game experience and give a reason to want to buy the game then to remain on old destiny until the eventual 60 dollar bundle of Destiny 2 and its first three expansions. 3) Reasonable Pricing If a game comes out for 60$ in the US, it should be 38 pounds or any equivalent value for other countries. Also even the expansion prices should either have a massive increase in content, or reduced 5-10 USD across the board. The CE edition items we are getting now would be 5$ in Destiny 2. If you are going to charge 20 dollars for CE items, then they better damn well be better than 3 emotes, and 3 class items. Even something none in game with practical value, like BO3's minifridge would be acceptable. These are my opinions on what Destiny needs and what Destiny 2 will need. I personally will wait to purchase this game, and save a lot of money, if an acceptable amount of these changes aren't added. Even if you won't, if you do advocate for these changes, you will end up with a better product for your 140$. Also please add any ideas that I may have missed or comment on why one of my ideas are good or bad.
