I know there are a lot of people mad about not being able to ascend your legendaries but just look at it from this point of view. The Taken King is basically destiny 2. And before you say I'm stupid here are my reason why. 1. Their are more legendaries and exotics in The Taken King then when Destiny first came out. Luke Smith said it himself. 2. With TTK being basically destiny 2 it is a whole new game. For example call of duty or battlefield always makes a new game every year like destiny atm. In call of duty you can't bring over or ascend your progress to the next game. 3. Destiny is like Call of duty an battlefield because it is a FPS (with a crap story :P) yet it is also like a MMO with gear, raids, strikes etc. and both types of games reset their progress. Let me know if you agree or disagree I can't be the only to think TTK = Destiny 2 and the reset is alright with me.
