was just wondering when theres gonna be an update regarding Halo 3 ODST, i heard before the IGN interviewed someone at bungie and he apparently told them the names of the characters in halo 3 ODST but i tried googling it and i found an article about it but i still cant find out the characters in the game's name. Does anyone kno if that was just a rumor about the names of the characters or is that actually tru. Those of u who do kno can u plz reply back to me with a link of the interview and of the characters names if possible. Appreciate it.

I love seeing all of those great statistics, it's just mind boggling. Also thanks for finally confirming the release date, I know a lot of people who still don't have the maps. I would like to see how many downloads the Mythic map pack gets on day one.

the other 3 maps which are Heretic, longshore, and Citdadel are coming out in fall probably with halo 3 ODST i hope not but thats wat it looks like is going to happen because the same thing happened with the mythic map pack, the mythic map pack was released with Halo Wars LCE, for a more expensive price, i really hope they dont do the same thing with Halo 3 ODST, i think that is gonna suck if they do......buttttt on the other hand it would be AWESOME if they made a limited edition or a legendary edition for halo 3 recon and have the legendary edition come in a ODST helmet THAT WOULD BE AWESOME

bungie have only made 3 maps i thought there was meant to be 5 or sumthin coz of the achievments say citadel skull and stuff like that :S oh well CANNY WAIT =D

its a simple case of halo syndrome lol, i experienced the exact same thing u did as well, i got halo 3 on the launch day and beat it on launch, i played it to death, and eventually i got bored and started playing COD4-5, GOW 1,2, and ninja gaiden 2, but after a while i missed the gameplay of halo and after playing gears 2 with its incredilby bad lag, i thought to myself all those times when i used to get super mad at halo cuz i got killed by lag even tho i should have killed that other guy, it made me realize that halo 3 has the best online game, with barely any lag with the proper connection of course, and the mix of weapons, melee grenades just really did it for me. Halo is one of those games that when im 50 ill still be looking back on it and saying wow now that was the game that i loved, and probably still be playing it lol

Since when did Bungie change the font on their logo on b.net, "BUNGIE?" Just curious. If you google "Bungie" you can still see their old font, with a much larger blue "dot" on the little "i" and the "E" looks different as well. Any chance we can get a name/download of the new font?

i believe they said before the legendary maps are not going to be free, i dont kno when they will be if they ever plan on being free but so far there has been absoulteyl no talk about the legendary maps, looks like you will have to buy them which would be a better thing to do, since u will be supporting bungie not the evil microsoft lol just kidding i love microsoft:)

ya right now the mythic playlist is quite dead when i come online i dont kno if thats just when i go online which is during the day at around 12 in the afternoon till around 3ish or just many people didnt pick up halo wars LCE, the only thing is, is that are we really supporting bungie for buying halo wars? or are we supporting microsoft by buying halo wars cuz halo wars isnt a bungie game, if bungie released mythic maps sooner then i defintely woulda bought them to support bungie but since microsoft had a crazy deal where u buy halo wars and get mythic maps i coudlnt resist

Just something regarding the 'upwards' trend of Halo 3 online players after 18 months of release. There have been a huge amount of games released on the 360 which have at times taken gamers to many different games (I'm thinking GoW 1&2, COD4 and COD WAW), and this is a stark contrast to the online options people had when Halo 2 was ruling the roost on the old Xbox - there wasn't a game anywhere near it in terms of online capability. Many gamers (especially Xbox owners) will have had their first major online gaming experieces playing H2. The whole 360 online gaming community has more choice of online gaming that is definitely true (see above for the games), but still a lot of the community will have played H2 as a core experience but due to this wider choice, a lot will have moved on to other games on their 360s. BUT, put simply Halo gameplay rocks and older players from earlier in H3's life and ones from H2 are remembering this fact. So what Halo 3 is possibly seeing at the moment is a pull back of a lot of gamers who went and played other games for a while, but without fresh new games, they are drifting back to Halo gameplay and remembering just how awesome the shield system of gameplay is with the 3 tenets of Halo gameplay (Weapons, Melee, Grenade), and also the fantastic online options which Halo 3 offers and they are thinking 'Man I love my Halo, I'm playing some more". Myself and some of my online friends are a case in point. I played H2 to death, and H3 beta and got and completed H3 on launch day. But then I kinda drifted away, played other games, didnt game on my 360 as much as I had. Then one day I thought "I really miss that gameplay" dusted my 360 off, hopped on live and loaded up H3. Since then a lot of my old H2 clan have also seemed to be drifting back, and we are back having teams of 6-8 online and playing the big playlists again like we always used to do in H2. To cut a long story short, the gameplay of Halo is unsurpassed in a lot of people's eyes and a lot of people are remembering this and playing more :)
