The truth?

Why don't you actually tell your loyal customers the truth about your plans instead of all the sly, cryptic intimations? At least they would stop speculating and make an informed decision. They deserve some respect for the loyalty they have shown.

  • Releasing the info in dribs and drabs via articles on 3rd party review sites which then triggers a whole load of good/bad discussion here and elsewhere is all party of Bungie's very cleverly thought out marketing strategy. If they just published "we are Bungie and this is exactly what you are getting. Goodbye." there'd be a small flurry of activity then it would all die down in a day or two. The way they are doing it they are going to keep everyone talking about TTK right up to the day it arrives. In fact expect the "leaks" to get more frequent and possibly more interesting as we get closer. They want discussion building to a fever pitch so everyone is thinking "shit, I'll just have to get it to see all the different stuff" by the time it arrives. Nice work Bungie - clever marketing!
