TTK definitely now needs an optional Nightfall matchmaking list. Anyone else losing their team because of TTK? It costs $100 in Australia for a physical edition and isn't morally right?
Losing my 2 friends who play due to TTK being the first proper dlc but being overpriced for simply being dlc. Money isn't an issue, we can buy it 100x over.
They want to play it but just the morality they won't and now I'll sadly be winging it solo. Won't enjoy it much at all now.
There is no real difference between an optional MM side list for raids and such now and looking on the forums considering how people are losing their friends.
Wondering if anyone else is in the same boat
FYI, it's $99 in Australia (even jbhifi) unless you want digital standard at $70+ as there is no standard version. You already own the rest and 70 bucks opposed to 20 is just what the -blam!-
$40 USD = $54 AUD average
$100 AUD = $72.60 USD
Justify that, if you go on about minimum wage being higher then go and do simple economics. Even better, what [i]Industry[/i] ANYWHERE in the world is governed by a minimum wage???

How do you know that $40us/$70aus/$40uk is really worth it. $100 for vanilla certainly wasnt worth the content we got but they dont give a shit coz they got paid and we ended up with TDB and HOW as result of them already having their money. I preordered and paid $60 for this game. Used to that would get you the game, a couple different preorder things, and something from your retailer. I can understand that the super awesome omega edition costs $100. I can sort of get why one single DLC costs $20. But when a DLC costs as much as the game, when it has less content and seriously is just basically a fix to what was broken? Why should I pay them $60+ just for cutscenes, more useless armor and weapons, a half-assed story, and about 5 hours of total content. Also. I'm sure they're getting rid of all the materials and faction points, to include a few more spaces in the vault. My speculation, but it seems like a Bungie move. I'm not buying the DLC, because I know I'll still get a crap ton of new stuff when it drops for everyone else. I can just YouTube the cutscenes, and probably move on to a new game honestly. Fallout 4 will steal my soul. Halo 5 is coming. There's a new Mass Effect to look forward to next year. Gears of War. Call of Duty. Mine craft updates out the wahoo. There'll be so many awesome titles coming out, I think it'll fix my gambling addiction and get me away from the slot machine I play and lose at every day.

best option would be to take your current physical copy and trade it in when you buy the taken king at JB. Wont be much of a discount but it will be something. Im just treating it like a new game and actually because i want to play it asap i pre-ordered the digital copy for $69.95 on the psn store.

What they should do is have a bundle available that [b]doesn't[/b] include the previous game/expansions. This way we won't be getting screwed over as much. I hate living in Australia sometimes.

10 RepliesAccording to your current characters you played the game for roughly 600 hours. That's not counting deleting characters and remaking them if you did so. So, for $100/600 hours that equals 17 cents an hour you have paid to play the game. Ever go see a movie for two hours and pay $13 for it? Did you complain about that? Get a grip and stop complaining. Either pay the money for the DLC that you wil play for another 600 hours or leave.

2 RepliesI saw an article about try OMG to figure out why games cost more in Aus, and the final thought was because of the many import costs and random fees imposed by the government/rating system there. Their research said that it couldn't possibly be just one cost, so I'm going to agree with their theory. (It's a theory because literally no officials in Aus will talk about the pricing. Seems shady as fck.)

Neither is capitalism, but at least capitalism and monetary economies in general work, without them we'd probably still be Hunter gatherers. Capitalism is pretty -blam!-ed up though, and it leads to things costing ridiculous prices sometimes for no good reason, if you want to be a part of this society and have nice things it's just something you have to put up with and try to manage as best you can (or just revolt, that's always fun), but this specific pricing is no more immoral than capitalism in general.

You have a month to save the 70 for a digital download or trade some games and deal with it if they were goimg to do anything about the pricing they wouldve done it by now but it wont change. It suvks like shit its over priced and luke smith can take his smug face and go -blam!- himself buuut if you dont want to pay for it then dont play. Simple.
