Master Post: Collective Secrets Page 4

The future war cult was originally some sort of scientific operation during the late golden age. They created a machine known as the device. This device allowed users to step into a simulation that felt completely real. (It's like a time machine just not quite). The sim would show a vision of the future. Many went in and most saw humanity's death. A war of some sort in which a darkness (probably THE darkness. They wouldn't have know about that because this was pretty collapse) This drove them insane. Think about seeing all of humanity burning. Crazy dark stuff. Anyway, as we see in the FWC ghost fragment: it seems the FWC threw a ghost into the device... Or was it the ghost. Now, even I will admit, this is a bit of a stretch... But when if we read the FWC ghost fragment, the end reads... "no wonder the device was abandoned. The human mind is too weak for it. Too weak to look into the future, or to understand what it sees. What this situation calls for is a different sort of witness. We found you in pieces in Siberia, we repaired you the best we could. What do you say? Are you well enough to travel?" Now then. I'm gonna prove to you the ghost didn't go in... 1)The grimore card starts at subject 22, and ends at least after subject 47. Possibly a long time after. Now, if you find a ghost and repair it, the ghost doesn't just sit in the corner forever. That ghost was alive, probably not doing too bad. 2) every time the speaker refers to the ghost he says, little ghost, also the ghost doesn't record who the speaker is talking to. So, he says it required a different sort of witness, and turns to something else... An exo? I think so. 3) the stranger was in a war, she escaped at the last second, and her entire squadron is dead. When we meet her, she may be a bit beat up, but she is generally fine. Maybe the FWC scientists repaired her and dropped her into the device. She saw the future, and it's recorded in her ghost fragment. Before we continue I need to make a point about who she works for. Simply: Osiris. She fights vex, she has vex tech which is something oasis would have loved, I hope I don't need to explain this much further. So, I know there is a counterpoint to this whole thing FWC device thin. Pretty basically: she can time travel so she doesn't need the device. However, I can disprove that. Here comes another list! (I really use these too Much) 1) the stranger was most likely created during the mid golden age. This means she fought the jackals, and they whipped her away. She probably didn't have vex tech at the time as this was still ł during the golden age, before Osiris was even a guardian. So probably didn't have time travel equipment to vanish herself. 2) unless the stranger could hop timeliness (which vex can't even do without going through Atheon which wouldn't of worked since she isn't a vex, the part where she says "sometimes I think I see myself among the dead" couldn't make sense. If a time line deviates it becomes a new timeliness. That's how it works. However, the device can definitely show different timeliness. That's the whole point of the device. 3) if you time travel, you end up in the actual place and time and can change stuff if you use the device, it just simulates and let's you watch. She is talking in the third person in the ghost fragment, like she's watching her own actions. That's gonna do it for me. Hope you learned something and feel free to debate in the comments. I'll be lurking around there too. Until then... -eyes out.
