I've lost all Iron Banner hope this week (or any other gameplay)
I can't get more than 6 minutes into a match without being booted to the title screen. Beetle, anteater, baboon, the list goes on. I'm losing faith in all things Destiny at this point.
To be fair, this isn't just Iron Banner matches. I can't even sit in orbit without being booted.
Should I be taking this as a sign that it's time to leave Bungie and Destiny behind? I see no responses to all the lag and server issues anywhere. The weekly update even conveniently left anything about it out.

The comments about it being central to myself are quite amusing. If it were me everything else on my PS4 would be lagging. Bloodborne, Dark Souls II, ESO, and all other streaming is working perfectly, with no lag or issues.

I am not encouraging all the hostility towards others in this thread. I am also not going through and disliking every post from people saying that it's me. I have not been hostile in this thread nor disliked a single post. This was more a venting post, though I feel that enough people are experiencing the same issues to warrant some kind of Bungie response to the community.
Final Edit:
This issue has solved itself without any changes on my end. Either my ISP was having some difficulties or something was wonky on the Bungie end. Either way, gameplay now continues as usual.

I'm halfway to 5 on all my characters but man is it dragging, at this point all I do is the bounties each day. The last 2 days I've been stuck with teams of people who just run like maniacs. I love people blaming the internet people have for the lag when it's only this game that's the issue, we all know it's the shit system that Bungie's using for PvP and their shit servers just to connect us. Then again the fan boys will say anything to defend Bungie.

1 ReplyIt's just not you.. the last two nights I have been booted (its never happened to me as often period). It is only recently this started to happened. People are so quick to say it's your internet when we already know that Bungie is having issues with it's servers. I wonder of all those doing POE without check points, I was just doing bounties to upgrade armor & weapons. I'm amazed at all of the negative, useless and non-helpful replies people post. If you haven't been disconnected than great (count your blessings) but that doesn't mean a lot of others haven't been experience lag or being booted.

8 RepliesYou must not know much about networking yet you're complaining based on false logic. The game works for most with default settings in most cases. There will always be some outliers that are affected differently. If it's specific to Destiny and and not other games yet others are connecting fine then the problem is on your end. It's something to do with your internet connection not working well with Destiny. If you're not willing to accept this and remedy it then all you are doing is whining. Steps 1: Reboot router 2: rest router to default settings and reconfigure as needed. 3: Check help articles that specify which ports to forward. Setup a static ip for your console and forward ports to this. 4: Replace your router 5: Replace your modem or switch a different internet provider.

My friend experienced it a lot this week also during iron banner. The week before I got booted a lot too, he has 50mg internet. So I doubt it's just you. Hang in there man maybe next week it won't be there. Mine went away.

Its your connection, sir. I've played all week and my friends and I have never gotten disconnected during a game. Maybe a disconnect when match making. But not while in a match. But what I've noticed is some of my friends getting disconnected in the game as well, but they knew it's their connection being spotty. So check your connection and your cables!

It may be because you are on at an odd hour and you are getting people in different parts of the states or another country, and as a result you cannot get a good connection to them. As far is in orbit, that can only be you. I've had similar problems, getting booted into orbit when I'm going insane in the crucible (like nova bomb in first thirty seconds of a match, and then get kicked). However, when I tried to go into another game, the same thing happened. It was a weird hour, and I connected with my friends fine and played some raids. Give it some time, don't get all upset :)

Have you updated your PS4 lately? I didn't have a prompt to update but one was still available. The night before I updated my PS4 I was getting booted left and right.

Check your internet then of the servers still don't work maybe have your PS4 checked out. If that's not the problem, then just keep spamming Deej with emails until he tells his boss

I was booted 4 games in a row Wednesday morning. Haven't had this issue since I changed internet providers a few months ago. But since then I played many games without an issue so maybe it was a temporary problem with the servers or on my end. No way to really tell.

Serves are getting worse, I never used to have lag, now I do.

I stopped playing it it's just not worth the stress and anger from laggers/lag switchers or just cheap weapons in general. I thought about trying to get the class items on xbox one but I've decided against it.

2 RepliesGood grief, I lost faith in Iron Banner in its first season. If you lost a game, no matter how well you played you got nothing towards the XP for Iron Banner, if you won you just got 2 points. Never been a fan of PvP, and it is rare I play it, and that depends on how much my Son twist my arm. I played Crucible for a while on my Titan just to get Dead Orbit gear, but realised it was just not worth the hassle to get it. So I rarely play any sort of PvP now. The Lag does not help in any way at all. As for the farm Bungie invented, it is not all your fault, recently Destiny servers have not been great. I would guess more and more players are going for PvP and their servers can not cope, and I am sure people that deliberately slow their system down only adds to it all.

IB had been mostly ok for me until last night. Suddenly my hits weren't registering, my rockets were rarely doing damage even at shotgun range. Rarely a match was completed without at least one of our fireteam being hurled to orbit or the home screen. I went to bed a sad panda. Hopefully tonight will go back to being more fun than head butting a plank of wood with nails sticking out of it.
