Hey OP, instead of sending them a friend request and then cancelling, im pretty sure you can send them a chat invite, then select view profile and do it through there. easier than having to cancel friend requests. Edit: come to think of it, you also don't have to then save space to make sure there is enough space for people who friend the profile to look at other custom game accounts.
