How to improve rng

The best way to improve destiny would be an option to remove an already dropped item from a players personal loot table. With the addition of the ability to re-roll, this could even work with legendaries. Getting an exotic you already have is no fun, while one person gets 8 gally's the other get 8 no land beyonds. Its really not fair to either party. I think this would actually bring alot of people back to destiny as the rng can be so unforgiving. Nobody wants to waste their time for a statistical probability that is against you. If you think people would get all the guns too easy then add different rewards other then guns. I think adding alot of rare shaders, emblems, ships, ghost skins would keep people playing for a long time. I just think then rng is unfair to people trying to accomplish a goal and having no way to pursue it other then to place hope in rng. Cheers.

  • All the code needs to do is take a look at your inventory (on character and in the vault) and dole out an item you don't have yet (if you have all of them, then it could look at what you don't have 2 of, etc.).

  • I'd like to see something along those lines. Tired of getting weapons or armour that I am actually holding at the time the engram is decrypted or the reward given. It should read what you have on your character and in your vault (and maybe the history of your character as well) and thus remove those weapons and gear from the potential rewards. That way you're guaranteed at least something new.

  • While I really do like your idea, there's another solution and it's one people have been questioning the absence of since Day One. Trading. This would solve a lot of these issues. I am, however, not opposed to the idea of being able to choose a RNG weighting per preference. If I have all the Exotics I can get from RNG, it'd be kinda neat to be able to disable them in favor of a higher drop rate for Ships, Shaders, Emblems and Ghost Shells.
