Hey, Solid. Sorry you had to go through that. Equally sorry, that this is not the first time I've seen video of this kind of cheating in Trials. Its part of the reason why I just refuse to even play it. Since you asked for feedback, I'll give you my honest opinion. I see the problem here as a two-part problem. One is a Bungie problem. The other is a human nature problem. Bear with me as I talk about the human nature problem first....because it will make what I say about the Bungie problem make more sense. Also bear with me, because this is going to be a long post....and I want to give you the kind of thoughtful answer that I think this deserves. Anytime you have a competitive environment, where things of value are up-for-grabs....you're going to have cheaters. People who want the rewards, but don't want to---and don't feel that they should have to----put in the work to earn them legitimately. Sadly, until we evolve a better human being, we'll always be fighting this sort of thing. But somethings (Bungie) can make matters like this worse...and (as they are right now) Trials of Osiris is a perfect-storm for things like this to happen. 1. It's a winner-take-all competition. Not only in terms of individual matches....but the holding off of the best rewards for those who go 9-0, makes even MORE of winner-take-all affair. 2. Bungie relies on P2P connections, rather than dedicated servers. 3. There is no skill-matching or bracketing in the competition. I mention these---equally sadly----I predicted that a lot of these things that are happening around Trials of Osiris would occur. Winner-take-all competition has a natural history that does not bode well for the long-term survival of Trials. Especially in an evrionment like this, where participation is voluntary. To put it bluntly (and brilliantly) as another forum poster summed it up: [i] "The best feed on the rest....and the rest get pissed. [/i] IOW, those with the most talent and skill win. They get the lion share of the rewards. Which only makes it even easier for them to win in the future. A problem further compounded by the fact that the rewards are gear that is probably the best optimized for PVP play of any in the game. So, over time, the best wind up taking everything. The poor get nothing. The average player slowly gets squeezed out, and eventually finds that he's unable to compete. A mutual clan-member (whom I won't name and embarrass...he's a good player, but not a PVP specialist) described the experience of consistently losing in Trials as "Soul-crushing". So the majority of Destiny players eventually stop showing up to play, because all they can look forward to is an ass-whipping...and not much else. Of course, you get those who refuse to go quietly...and try to cheat their way through it, like the people you had to deal with. But its still no free lunch for players like yourself either. You'll eventually win everything there is to win...and you'll either get bored.....or find that you have a harder time finding a game, because all that's left is other players of your caliber....who have gotten bored of it. Obviously with Bungie's reliance on P2P connections...the sort of network manipulation like this is easier to pull off....and harder to defend against. TLDR: AT the end of the day, I think the only way that Bungie can hold this type of competition and not have it turn into a cesspool of cheating or have it otherwise self-destruct is by: 1. Going to dedicated servers 2. Changing Trials from what it is now, to a BRACKETED, Skill-matched/based competition. Instead of making matches to minimize lag and putting a professional streamer up against a weekend player. You create 4 or 5 skill based brackets of competition or "flights" (like golf clubs stage tournaments by handicap). Each with their own gear streams. Then WITHIN each bracket, you play winner-take-all. The brackets would match players of more similar skill, so the matches are more competitive, enjoyable....and everyone who plays has a chance to experience some success. Playres in the lower brackets have more fun. Players in the higher brackets get more of a consistent challenge. Go flawless....you get to go to The Lighthouse...but you only get the best gear that is reserved for YOUR flight/bracket. And you get to start competing in the next higher bracket. IMO, this would encourage teams to stick together and work together to improve...and it would give the average player more incentive to show up and participate. Because he now has something to look up to...and apsire to...and see something more than a descending bootheel. You'd still reward the better players. Because you'd make the top-flight gear recognizable....and the achievement would be much more meaningful, because you'd have wrestled it away from the best players in the game. Which---in my experience---is the satisfaction that every true competitor wants. IMO, this is the best way to deal with the cheating problem you ran into. By removing both the incentive to do it----and they payoff for doing it. I just don't see Bungie being able to stamp it all out, given the current situation.

Careful now, according to Bungie if you call out a cheater and actually have video proof you're harassing. Seriously Bungie....?

I think the stats alone proves that they've been cheating. Your video is the icing on the cake though.

Look, this isn't like finding evidence of Big Foot, UFOs, or Elvis still being alive... This is like finding evidence McDonald's exists. Of course people cheat in ToO. 1. Cheating is possible 2. The rewards are the best in the game currently 3. Some people have no ethical boundaries No brainer.
