5 months since Weapon Balancing
Title says it all. I just feel that close to half a year with the same broken (good and bad) weapons is a bit ridiculous. Seems like Bungie is far too concerned with getting new 'Content' out, that they have simply forgotten about the stuff we deal with every single day.
There are plenty of other things to work on of course, but for 'an ever changing sandbox,' 5 months of no changes seems quite a bit stale.
Agree? Disagree? Let me/ Bungie know why.
I've also put up a short poll to help potential readers see which is trending.
EDIT: I see quite a few votes, but not nearly as many comments. Just reminding readers that even if you don't agree, the best way to let Bungie know how you feel, is to actually say it.
EDIT2: So there is a new update in the works, and While many people are all 'upset' about Ghorn and Black hammer, I think many of the changes when taken as a whole, should provide a much more balanced Weapons environment.
HOWEVER, this update may not actually hit until TTK, which in my opinion is MUCH too far away.
7 months of no weapons changes is ridiculous, I think Bungie needs to release this update before July is out in order to keep the game from being dead from an entertainment point until ttk Comes out.

I don't really care about the weapons balancing so much as what the numbers say after the last one. Pulse rifles were the least used I have not seen an increase in them as much as I have seen an increase in hand canons. Autos are nonexistent as it seems fusion rifles are as well because shotguns have taken over. So the last weapons rebalancing was to bring in more verity in weapons use all I have seen is a shift in weapons use from what seemed to be all auto to all hand canons. Like I said I want to see the numbers now how about anyone else.

"weapons re-balance " kina implies all were altered in attempt to fix "balance ". never happened

5 RepliesEdited by DarkWolf79: 7/10/2015 4:52:33 PMI am really starting to believe that Bungie has the guns where they want them, I think that the fact that auto rifles got nerfed 2-3 times is a clear sign that they wanted them to under preform and for there other guns to be picked over them. I bet if you found a auto rifle that was out preforming everything else they would make sure to have a weapon balance patch out soon, that and the fact that they put them nice graphs out that showed who was using what type of gun you notice that they have not showed that again, now for a truth i bet auto rifles are still top of that list only because of the fact people use them as a starter weapon and i'm almost sure Bungie did not take that in consideration when they nerfed them the last time. So in closing good luck getting Bungie to notice that auto rifles are set to low to be a good weapon choice or that your go to weapon should be a auto rifles because on the fields of battle i would not carry a hand cannon, pulse rifle, or scout rifle as a primary weapon unless i specialized in these weapons types and even then i would still carry a auto rifle to back up closer range combat. P.S. Hand Cannons would be my secondary weapon and for when the auto rifle was out of ammo and it would have to be real close range combat.

1 ReplyThis is why I've played destiny once in something like the last 2 months. I refuse to play again or purchase dlc until this is addressed. Used to love the monte carlo. Unfortunately i haven't been able to use it for MONTHS. I paid for a game i cant play my way. I paid for a game where imo the guns are destiny. Yet nothing is being done. But hey we got a new ball on the tower and they want more money. F u bungie

23 RepliesI think they should adjust Thorn (lower DoT, or impact, or rate of fire), roll back Autos to how they were before the last balancing act, fix The Last Word's ADS glitch, and undo the collateral damage nerf that affected the spread on the Vex Mythoclast. That's it. I really, really think that's all they need to do.
