Anyone else disappointed that the Titan is not going to have a new jump ability? I was excited to hear about the new Titan Sunbreaker in The Taken King. I absolutely love my Titan alt and can't wait to wield a fiery hammer! But when I heard there wasn't any new Jump ability, I was so disappointed. I know Titans are supposed to be "slow, lumbering, armored tanks", but why not give them a Jump that could even the playing field with Hunter's and Warlock's Blink? Then I started doing some thinking. With my current living situation, I spend a lot of time driving. I don't mind it so much because I do a lot of thinking. I like creating ideas. Brainstorming. I love Destiny and its universe, and I like to create scenarios and mechanics about the game. (some day I might share ALL my Destiny ideas here if this first post takes off, lol) And then I came up with what a new Titan Jump Ability should be ... I call it "Afterburner". It's very similar to Blink, except it's not a short range teleport. It's basically the Titan channeling their Solar ability to give them a burst of speed like a fighter jet (hence the name), leaving a trail of fire in their wake. This ability would take the place of Catapult in the Sunbreaker skill tree. Think of it as feeling like a Shoulder Charge (without melee damage), but faster and covers a farther distance. Even the name "Afterburner" fits perfectly with the theme of the Solar Sunbreaker. I don't see it being as fast as Blink, but at least Titans would have some fighting chance to level the playing field a little bit when it comes to maneuvering in the air against Hunters/Warlocks. So what do you guys think? Titans in the forums, what say you? Or, after reading my idea, can you think of your own for a new Titan Jump for Sunbreakers? If Taken King is still in a state where changes can still be made before it's release date, could we get Bungie's attention and make them take a step back and go, "Hmmm ... that's a damn good idea. Let's do it!"?
