Bungie Day Gift

Hello. I have a question concerning the Bungie Day gifts. So, when Destiny came out, I was unable to get it the first day; but I did pick it up a day or two later. So my question is, will I get the Bungie Day gift for day one players? Thank you very much for reading this, and, Bungie, Destiny is awesome!
