Lag switching is killing crucible
Lag switching is killing crucible. Players who take no damage and slow down the game connection. It is running rampant is something should be done for those of us who dont cheat

Just happened to me in iron banner. Was winning by 2000 then suddenly everyone in the game red barred and melees were registering after I was dead no postmortems. Shots wouldn't land. People were disappearing every where. Non moving Bodies everywhere. Whole game went to shit and they won

Edited by Skull Riddler: 7/6/2015 9:46:18 AMI run 50mbs on an ether net cable and consistently get disconnected from servers sometimes even before I'm in the game. Other times even things as simple as Crota lag and the game has to be left and started over. It's almost impossible to tell hackers from laggers at times and when you can tell it makes no difference in your points at the time of the game. Of course Activision has always had terrible lag compensation so I'm not surprised that this is happening. Between the sharing of servers with BOII and the lousy lag compensation, the obvious not caring about gamers from the lead program (see Luke smith's comments) and the fact that deej continues to drag out telling veteran players what we will get that is going to be so much "better" than the collectors box and the 40 dollar price tag on the game in the us (BTW our euro friends are getting ripped off at the equivalent to 60 dollars.) I'm probably going to play to the release of taken king and leave. There are a multitude of games coming out that quiting destiny will give me ample opportunity to enjoy.

Whether its bad internet provider or obvious lag-switching Bungie is not going to do anything to improve or fix it, other players (myself included) have been complaining about the servers since day one! I check my internet before playing all the time making sure nothing's wrong but even that I run into lag due to crappy hosts. Seriously this is 2015, stop using P2P servers Bungie!

You do realize that some of the people that you accuse of Lag Switching, probably simply have a bad internet provider? They also probably only have one internet provider at use for them, because the area that they live in is probably less fortunate, than other's. I'm not fully stating that everyone you run into in the crucible is "Lag Switching." I'm just saying, most likely not all of them are "Lag Switching." They most likely have terrible internet, also it's not eternally that person fault. Just because he has only one internet provider in his area doesn't mean it's necessarily his fault. The game itself it based off another player's internet, also known as a "host." Their is no dedicated server's once so ever in the game itself. The playlist at least; furthermore also known in your case as crucible itself is trash, because it simply has no dedicated servers. Crucible also has plenty of other problems, but I'm not going to state any of that, because this is about your main post about "Lag Switching."

100% agree with this. Its getting worse and worse. This is the reason the taken king will be my last DLC for destiny.

We were in a close match, then the other team started lagging and ended up by about 2000 points. It is ridiculous that you melee 4 or 5 times and they take no damage. This is more than just normal lag. People that are lagging on purpose should be banned.

It's not like they will even do anything they already have your money and their attitudes are now more like Infinity Ward's, basically they do nothing. They have no security let alone a networking team plus they HATE Xbox players even though they wouldn't be where they are right now with out them. So don't hold your breath, I predict their crucible will be laggy garbage all 10 years.
