So is it just me or is MIDA Multi-Tool underused in PvP? Not that I think it really gets a whole lot of use in PvE either. But after getting MMT as a random drop from a Crucible game (thank the RNG gods) I started using it and instantly fell in love. I guess the argument might be that it doesn't have stats that are miles better than other Scout Rifles, but whenever I use it, it just feels a lot better than most other Scouts. So, this being said.. What's your favourite Scout Rifle?

MIDA and VoC are two of my favorite guns in crucible, yet I hardly see anyone else use them.
-
Mida + Dance Machines man.

I love mida! Its awesome but if you dont get those headshots you're dead befor you can say MMT xD sometimes i think it cant keep uo with all the other weapons used in pvp
-
Lately Ive been rocking full auto Salvation State, Bad Seed Down, and AllFate

Is vision better then fang???

Scout Rifles are my favorite gun to use. And I do enjoy using MIDA, I love the speed boost, but I prefer to use high stability full-auto scout rifles, (I just do so much better with them). I probably will start using MIDA again once I get a hold of some Radiant Dance Machines. The scout rifles that I have been using though are: 1. Vision of Confluence (with Perfect Balance for PVP) 2. NA3D Salvation State (with Full Auto and Hand-Laid Stock) - has nearly identical stats to VoC except a smaller mag size and is re-rollable. 3. NL Shadow (with Full Auto, Braced Frame and Zen Moment) 4. MIDA All super fun to use. My dream scout rifle though is a Full Auto Gheleons Demise with Hand-Laid Stock which I have not had the pleasure of getting sadly.

I rotate guns based on map, so It depends. For maps with long sightings and open spaces, Mida wrecks. Love using it on Shores of Time and Rusted Lands. Even works well on Cauldron. You want to counter thorn, site back and shoot at long range with Mida. You will get them 9 out of 10. Takes 5-6 shots but it's ROF is so fast it doesn't matter.

Edited by yungnavi187: 8/5/2015 9:19:47 PMMMT has a hidden perk which staggers enemies with precision shots. I kill Thorn users all day with my MIDA because they hit me once and I stagger lock them. MIDA=Bane of Thorn.
-
I use it in crucible and some sections of pve. Gally or mida...mida or gally...hmmm
-
The one/one synesthete actually wrecks in crucible. It's same stats as the mida with a rerollable sight (awesome!!) Great for me since the only thing I don't like about the mida is the sight.
-
I love my tool. I tried the whole hand cannon thing but my tool just feels so much better. It's a very fluid gun to use and the stagger rounds are awesome to stop charging enemies. It's just all around a really fun gun to use and I more or less find it being my go to weapon of choice.

Mida's nice but I prefer the two higher impact archetypes of scouts like my cryptic dragon and gheleon. Scouts generally go underused in pvp because it has a much higher skill requirement compared to other primaries in their prime. They are the only weapons that require consistent strings of headshots, and their time to kill almost doubles for a fair number of them when landing only body shots. Comparing the typical scout (VoC-esque) to the typical handcannon (hawkmoon-esque): Scouts: 4 headshots - 5 body shots vs Handcannons: 3 headshots - 4 bodyshots
-
It actually hits harder than other scouts with similar stat archetypes. Now I wanna start using my MIDA more often.

I love my MMT for PvE. I have it ascended and the best part is we can use it in TTK. Scout Rifles are my main weapon of choice when it comes to PvE. However, in PvP... it's too many shots to kill someone. I prefer a stable Pulse Rifle or The Last Word. (still working on getting Thorn)

I love mida, VoC, and Fang for pvp. I think it's pretty well known that mida is a beast, but it's still a bit rare to see people using it. Or any scouts for that matter. I think there's a number of factors at play here as to why they are not used more. Many crucible maps cater well to close quarters combat. Many people prefer that sort of play style as well. That, paired with the current meta and op'ness of exotic hand cannons is why I think you don't see nearly as much mida as we should in pvp. People tell me that having two long range weapons is redundant, and that may be true. But that does not mean it isn't effective. I've recently started using mida or Messenger for a primary paired with a sniper and my kd has improved drastically from when I was running hand cannons, blink and shotguns. See for yourself on my profile. Check my overall kd compared to last 30 days and last 7 days. There's a noticeable improvement.

Mida is a great gun, the issue is the ttk is too low in comparison to other choices (ie thorn and tlw) add to this the chaos of 6v6 and the small scale of most maps the results are it is out classes in most situations. Regardless mida is still my number 1 trials primary and I have plenty of video saved of me outgunning guys with tlw and thorn using only mida.

Check out my scout on my warlock, mida has evaded me completely since launch and I was unable to get on when it was sold....

Badger CCL. Best

Mida all day

I like mida lot, but I don't find myself using it that often, now that I've ascended my VoC, and my gheleons demise. Even in crucible I use my gheleons demise loads. I'm just so used to it.
-
Fang of ir'yut
-
I'm uses the media mutli-tool this whole iron banner been at the top of my team every match no-one can catch me!!!
-
VoC is Mida on crack. I've been saying this on the forums for the past week. It does 61-63 damage per head shot while Mida does 55. VoC body shot is 41. Beast
-
MIDA will be a lot more viable once Thorn is nerfed. They have the same range.
-
I like Mida for the small arms mod in POE. Can't really get a groove with it in pvp though.
