PoE is an end game activity just like the raids but there is one small twist; the loot is useless and/or ugly as sin. The guns you get are only useful against fallen who you only fight 25% of the time anyways. You sacrifice your second perk for something that gets very limited use which makes these guns useless in pvp and 75% of pve. On top of that most of the time you'll be getting shank burn! Yeah! Because shanks are the problem!
To add insult to injury the armor is completely hideous. This is more of an opinion but most people will agree that the armor (especially the titan's) looks terrible. Titans get this weird hexagonal sock thing on their right leg (and only their right leg) with a weird duck face on their shoulder and a helmet that makes them look like a demented hobgoblin. The only PoE armor that doesn't look half bad is the warlock's.
Anyways, that's my rant of the day. Give PoE weapons a second perk and make the burns a tertiary thing like oracle disruptor is and maybe make a second (better looking) set of armor that maybe only drops from the bosses so you have to collect it. Your opinions?

Yes and no. So far there has been a complete hive set and now it looks like a complete fallen set. Next will probably be vex and cabal. Pay attention and maybe play more instead of forum surfing and dreaming of things to gripe about. (Armor is pretty fugly)

At this point in the game, I don't mind having situational sets of armor. Going to the Vault of Glass? VoG armor. Crota? Gonna want that orb/health helmet just in case. Oversoul buffs are handy in a pinch. In the Prison, there's a reason you have to "equip before the first wave". That Arc/Cabal/Dismantle round is a lot easier with armor and recovery buffs. One armor set does not suit all purposes. That's the point. KEEP GRINDING!!!

It's designed to be used in Poe.......der

Yeah, my Titan's chest piece makes him look like he's fat and wearing a fanny pack...

The weapons are undoubtedly garbage but the armour is actually good in prison of elders. The boots especially. They also look hilarious

Edited by Crott117: 7/1/2015 2:39:04 PMI think the enemy specific perks work nicely in prison and outside of prison who cares? What kind of perks do you need on patrol? Extra heavy ammo is the only perk I want everywhere. And Poe boots have that covered. I actually regret not getting the Poe boots for my hunter and Titan as I had already ascended their raid boots. Love the agility boost on my warlock. I do agree it's not very aesthetically pleasing

I'm sorry do you not want an easy way to be light level 34?
-
Poe set is fugly for every class
-
I really like the hunter helm.
-
i dont wear it
-
Useless? No, it allows those who dont do crucible to get to 34. So they can do end game activities like trials. Other than that, prisons gear has little purpose after that. The perks are mediocre, SUPER situational. It would have been nice if they had included an "adept" version of armor that can roll better perks.
-
Aesthetics aside, the PoE armor is actually decent, especially if you get it from judgements chance, I now have nearly a full set of hive and cabal armor, only my hive helmet is that garbage with all strength lol
-
Yeah... I never thought I would praise anything from TDB, but at least it had okay loot... armor wasn't all that bad and the raid guns were still usefull.. However with HOW the only things that seem even a little bit useful is the loot from ToO, which is broken as fůck thanks to handcannons being nearly unstoppable.

The only thing I have to say is that the PoE armor via the armor core is the easiest path to level 34. So in that way it has a purpose.
