More Variety among Subclasses?

I don't have a solid argument for this, but with the new Taken King stuff out, I'm beginning to realize that most subclasses have too much in common. I would give Bungie the benefit of the doubt by saying this is intended, but the Titan Defender subclass openly defies the possibility that all subclasses are supposed to be offensively based. Other than the new Hunter subclass in Taken King, and Defender, most subclasses tend to focus on straight wrecking fools, and nothing else. I think it would enhance the game further down the road to give each subclass a definitive role, with more obscure roles within the classes that you could customize. That would not only give each player a sense of identity, but would also give players a definitive role on a fireteam. EDIT: Let me give some examples: 1. Voidwalker and Striker seem to serve nearly the exact same purpose. What if Voidwalker used the powers of the void to suck in enemies that the player using it is close to, and randomly placed them somewhere far away from the player? This would offer a new form of team support never before seen in the game, and would keep players from getting overwhelmed. 2. With the Taken King DLC, the new Titan subclass and the new Warlock subclass seem to both involve roaming around the map while killing people as well. Because unlike the Titan, the Warlock has no subclass used exclusively for support, what if the new Warlock subclass involved using arc energy to quite literally "supercharge" a teammate? This would offer another form of support never before seen in the game. Before I close, let me note that some subclasses are pretty different. Both the Golden Gun and the new Taken King subclasses for Hunter seem to serve definitive roles: one specializing in serving high damage to tough opponents, and the other involving holding enemies back. I also like the Titan Defender's role. However, with the Taken King coming out, the remaining six subclasses are too similar in my opinion (unless a Sunsinger Warlock uses Song of Flame; that makes it a little more different). I have not tried all subclasses myself, so I don't have too much to back up my claims, but this is the vibe that I feel with most subclasses. I would like it, and I think others would too, if there was more variety in the subclasses.
