Surely everyone has experienced this at least once a day at the Tower or Reef, even before landing! On my current visit to the Tower I had random invites from a level 32 & a level 8! (Un-related) I have 3 level 34 characters btw. These ignorant, lazy people sent me multiple invites, despite the fact that I ignored the 1st invite! When I message these people with, "?", or, "I'm sorry, I can't seem to read your mind. What are you inviting me to?" it leads to them saying it takes too long to message everyone in the tower (despite the fact they spent FAR longer replying to my messages about it!), although it only takes a few seconds to message one person with, "VoG?" or, "NF?" etc! (I just got ANOTHER random tower invite btw! Wait, & ANOTHER!) If I accept a random invite it returns me to orbit only to put me in a fireteam back at the same tower, usually to discover they want to do something pointless for a level 34 who owns every weapon & armour in the game so far with almost max-Grimoire & every achievement! I help plenty of noobs, but gimme a break on reset day at least! The initial problem here however starts with yet more fault with poor game design in Destiny. (I used to be a games developer & tester, so I know) If Destiny already had a fireteam request option/beacon when in the tower, then anyone could easily see what any of their friends or even random players want to play by selecting a player ready to invite/join etc, where it shows if/who they are in a fireteam with, & there could be a pre-selected beacon/request under their name which shows maybe 3 activities they want to do next, for example: 1 - Nightfall (for the XP boost 1st ofcourse!) 2 - Weekly Heroic. 3 - Patrol Moon/VoG raid etc etc. The game could then match you in a tower with other players with matching 'beacons' (similar to the beacon feature on Xbox 360) who want to play similar activities! Or even have an area like the bar/factions etc where players can meet for certain activities & send all the invites they like, knowing that the other players want to play the same thing! Bungie, whatever you do if anything, please make the random invites stop! It wastes so much of my time reporting each person for spamming me with multiple random game invites!
