This needs be said for British players

I'm british, I really don't care about emotes or shaders or ships and I personally think you have to be a little crazy to pay real money for that shite. My problem with TtK prices are Americans pay $40 Brits pay $62 ish For the exact same thing which is not on! I see a lot of people complaining about people complaining that they want free shit. I do not want free shit, I just don't want to have to pay $22 more than the Americans. I haven't looked at prices for other countries so don't know who else is being ripped off but feel free to have your say. !!!! This is not about war or taxes it's greed and as a gaming community we should stick together and help each other out if we can not argue about which country has the biggest D.I.C.K because we all know that's the UK (Mr Cameron) !!!!

  • Best way to sort this out is to speak with our wallets. If sales drop dramatically in uk they will have no choice but to re think their uk price strategy. They say in the update that ttk is not a dlc but a game, I say thats crap, it's a dlc otherwise it would be the same size as vanilla destiny. They are pushing us to see how much rubbish we'll pay for and loads are already blindly throwing money at their TV. That's their choice but I'm choosing not to buy and I would urge uk players not to buy this rubbish.

Hey canadian here opposing the fact you have to pay more but seeing why In(from what I've been told) All of the UK earns a much higher minimum wage (about 3$ more per hour) than us canadians or americans. The value is simply the 40$ it doesn't change in all applying countires, I suppose bungie wants it to be simple enough to understand. And I assume bungie understood the higher wages in many parts of europe(mostly the UK) and accounted for it, kind of like taxes.

      • Fellow Brit here. Yeah, it is BS that it cost so much. But I don't think it will change no matter how much we complain.. Do you think Taylor Swift might write a letter to Bungie if we ask her?

Unfortunately, the US dollars value is shit right now so converting to GBP costs more. Thus anything bought from the US will run you more. It's not like they're doing it on purpose, blame economic issues.

          • Haha! Come to Canada ..... We pay more for booze n cigs than any country! 20 bucks more for a video game? Try 20 bucks more for product that was MADE in your own country! Ex. 40 ounces of Canadian Club whiskey . Roughly 50 Canadian. Go to the states..... Same bottle 30-35 Canadian for an IMPORTED bottle. Gotta love them liquor and tobacco laws up North!

            • The real question that needs to be asked is this: "Is the cost of the game worth it to me?" It should make no difference what someone else is paying as long as you feel the cost is fair for what you are receiving. If you feel that the cost is too high for the product you will get, then don't buy it. So many people have a misguided concept of fairness. The deal/purchase is fair if you receive what was promised to you for the price you agreed upon. This is true regardless of what another person paid for the same product/service. The issue you are referring to is like a child whose sibling got a bigger cookie than he did crying "no fair, her cookie is bigger" when the parents promised to give their kids cookies of they behaved. But in reality, it actually was fair, the boy recieved the cookie he was promised. Sadly his jealously of his sister's cookie probably led him to enjoy his cookie less than he would have if he had never seen his sister's cookie. So, do you simply feel like the amount you will have to pay for TTK is too high? Or has your jealously of your sister country's metaphorical larger cookie ruined the enjoyment of the metaphorical cookie you have that you would otherwise enjoy? If it's the former, you should not buy TTK, if the later, you should. TLDR: In other words, if the US gamers paid the same higher price you are paying, would you buy it? If you would, then what's the problem?

                    • I work as a financial analyst for a major corporation that sells products globally. I live and work in the US, their pricing model for the UK doesn't make any sense. It's like their FA just copied the US model and put the British Pound symbol after everything. There's no possible way the two would be $40 and £40 exactly. Especially since the base game was £40 to begin with in the UK. They probably just kept the pricing models the same as the base game lol, too much work to change it all for the DLC. I would be pissed if I were all of you.

Spot on. Their attempting to -blam!- us over. I'm not getting it. If it was a comparative price? Maybe. But I'm done handing over money for half arsed DLC.
