I loved pwning elites but i can do that on xbox live.can't wait for odst sounds awsome.good that there will be a mythc map only playlist that should make getting achievments much more easier than the new ones were.

Is a mission in Halo 3: ODST going to based off of the Halo 3: Believe trailer? You know, the trailer with the Epic(Thank you, Marty) music and the statuettes of soldiers fighting the fierce battle of New Mombasa? That's something I would be interested in seeing. 'Would be awesome. :)

Im just gonna wait for the marketplace release because i don't want to be tempted away from Halo Wars to play H3, untill ive gotten a good fill of it, which should be around the time the maps are on marketplace.

Get over it.[/quote] Not everyone/everything was killed in the Slipspace jump. Most of the city was destroyed, but not all of it. Did you notice that Bungie put in a bus with skidmarks and stuff? If the jump had affected that part of the city, there would be no bus. It would be blown away or disinagrated. And same goes with whatever it crashed into. And seeing that buildings and cars weren't completely destroyed in the process, I assume many of the Elites that had been there hours before would also still be around. So no, it makes NO sense that the only enemies to be seen are Brutes and probably Grunts/Jackals. There would still be some Elite bodies at the very least, but I doubt we'll see any of those either.

Yea seriously. i dont think ile be buying odst or Halo Wars. And to settle the left for dead thing. you were Left for dead at the beginning towards the end you were fighting to get to the Pillar of Autumn to destroy the ring and stop the flood.

[/quote] I think they realize that Halo 3 did not quite live up to some of the other very large titles of the year like Gears of War 2. Whether or not they had planned ODST, this game will most definately be the redeemer for Halo 3, Im almost certain. Bungie, theres a lot riding on this game...

[/quote] Uh, going back to Earth to fight was probably one of the more genius things in the story. Fighting against an alien race that is searching for a holy relic/portal that turns out to be on Earth is pretty original if you ask me. I can't say I've ever seen a movie, watched a book, or played a game with a plot like that. And even if they didn't add Brutes, I'm still pretty sure the plot would have remained very much the same. And you weren't "left for dead" on the Halo ring, you were trying to stop the Covenant from activating the ring and killing every senteint being in the galaxy. One of the big problems I have is that the story with the Heretics was completely dropped. You'd think they'd have some kind of reapperence since they were the peice of the Covenant that actually had it right the first time, and saw through the Prophets lies. Every Elite essentially [i]became[/i] a Heretic by the end of Halo 2. It seems as if they made Halo 3's campaign as simple as they could, and only including things that absolutely [i]had[/i] to be there for the story to make sense. It had no [i]umph[/i] at all. Of course, then again, Elites barely made an appearence at all anyway in the game. Not including the Arbiter, there are only three levels that have Elites in them at all. And you only run into Blue or Red ones with varying helmets. The only silver ones you find are either dead or in a cutscene. All of the Stealth Elites are gone, along with the gold ones. I mean, I know Brutes are the guys you should really be focusing on, but it can't cost you much to throw in some Elites with different colored armor. And maybe put some down fighting alongside marines more often. I can't tell you how much I was looking forward to fighting with the guys that caused me so much agony and frustration during my journey through the legendary Halo 2 campaign.. I was pretty dissapointed to barely see them.

[/quote] In Bungie's defense, ALL Halo merchandise including map packs, games, xbox live content and squeezable, poop and tinkles Master Chief dolls are owned by Microsoft. That's why Halo Wars is being developed by a different company. Bungie has no control of pricing or release methods of any Halo products. I agree Microsoft are completely wrong making mythic packs only available on Halo Wars. They are truly the demons in this situation.

Keeping the Mythic pack exclusive to a game before Live reeks of BS. I was going to get Halo Wars before but canceled my pre-order after reading. Just wait until it's on Live, not playing your little fan boy game, sorry.
