Armor shader management

I don't like how shaders take up space in our inventory. I hate having to destroy shaders to make space for other stuff. I want a way to keep them all in their own storage thing. You know the beginning of Total Recall, where the receptionist is doing her nails? She touches a pen to the color she wants, then touches each nail to apply it. And she's not flipping through a Rolodex to browse the colors, it's just software. THEREFORE, I think shaders should not take the same kind of space as an ammo synth or something. They should have their own catalog that accommodates every shader you can get in the game, kind of like the Grimiore. It even makes sense for the setting, since they're all about the "programmable matter". I think the same thing can apply to ships, too. Does any of this make sense?
