So, as a Lvl 32 Titan I have been looking into ways to achieve a higher light level and better gear, and to do this I wanted some of the new fallen themed gear you can buy from Variks. However, its pretty hard to get a group going for the 32 challenge, since most of the players in my social spaces are 34 and therefore just scoff at the idea of playing with some lowly 32 Titan that is asking for help (pretty much the same problem with other end end game content like weekly nightfalls and Raids), and Destinylfg wasn't a huge help either. Anyway, so I looked if there were any other ways to aquire armor/weapon cores, and here starts the problem. I found several videos and sites saying ONLY the 32 and 35 level PoE challenge will net you such cores. BUT, one of the Destiny Wiki's and at least one other source say you can gain them from the level 28 challenge too, dropped by the smaller chests in the Crystal Barrows, alongside other possible drops like Strange Coins, Tokens etc. But the problem is that all of the sources often conflict, either stating you can only get certain rewards weekly, some say you can get them every day, and other stuff like that.And it seems NONE of them had any official info from the devs or the forums. I played the PoE a few times now, and while I often got some nice stuff (two exotics, lotsa coins, an okay queens weapon) I never even saw the hint of an armor core, let alone a weapons core. So, yeah, my question to other Guardians and hopefully some more-or-less official spokespersons/mods/admins/community managers from Bungie, so we can clear this up once for all: Can you receive Armor/Weapon Cores from the small chests in the 28 PoE Crystal Barrows, or are these EXCLUSIVE to Trials of Osiris and higher level, non-matchmaking PoE arenas?
