Its time to address the elephant in the room *ahem* Lag *ahem*
Okay so here is what I;m suggesting. dedicated servers in the crucible,raids, and reserved servers for Iron Banner and trials . Lag only becomes a major issue in places were you have to rely on the game to play nice with everyones internet. ie; raids (Crota almost exclusively), crucible, and iron banner. P2P (peer to peer) connection isn't the way to go since an unstable connection can cost someone the raid winning shot, or the nail in the coffin medal.
Also the reason I separated Iron Banner and trials and mentioned reserved servers is because iron banner and trials are played at significantly higher stakes. Rewards in these modes are one of kind and can't be won anywhere else in the game. As such more players are in trials and iron banner than crucible ( a matter of fact there are people who don't play PvP at all unless its Iron Banner week). This means everyones connections becomes strained because people who have connection comparable to fresh cow crap are crowding the servers. And since Bungie is not handling the connection, the game will simply lag everyone. Or worse someone could take advantage of the lag and cheat to win the game. WHICH HAPPENS ALL THE TIME.
However if bungie were to have dedicated servers, whose only purpose is to provide a steady connection for activities in the game, problems like this wouldn't happen or would occur less frequently. The reason being if someone attempts to use a lag switch or has a bad connection, then only they will lag and everyone else will still have the same connection, therefore preventing cheating.
I just realized how long this is and will just sum it up for the 99% who skip to the bottom;
DEDICATED SERVES= NO LAG SWITCHES, CRASHED GAMES, OR SUPERSOLDIER CROTA
