How to Unlock Elite Armor Sets
We know that Elite Armor will not be unlocked via Credits or achievements but instead through Ranking.
(This Does not include [url=http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4004/4541938011_9af46dfc5f.jpg][b]Officer[/b][/url], which is unlocked by purchasing limited or legendary edition)
You will be able to use the armor you unlocked in Elite Gametypes, which so far to what we know are limited to Invasion, Generator Defense, Firefight Versus, and Covie Slayer.
So what do you think will be the requirement for unlocking each type of armor?
The only one i think is known for sure is the rank of Elite Ultra, whose' requirement was stated as a rank of Warrant Officer in Bungie Weekly Update 06.11.10.
My Speculations are that since in the [url=http://xbox360.ign.com/dor/objects/14276699/halo-project/videos/halor_armory_montage_072210.html?show=hi]IGN Armory Video[/url] The User is Ranked at Corporal, and only has the Minor and Spec-Op. Meanwhile in the [url=http://www.bungie.net/images/News/Inline10/080610/ELITES/RANGERb.jpg] Bungie Preview [/url] With a rank of Sergeant the player has unlocked also Ranger.

I believe arbiter is a very high rank aswell. According to the book i read, sure they are already high ranked elites going to a suicide mission. (Halo 3 arbiter was a fleet master) To clarify this prophet said to arbiter when he received the armor or anyway at the time he was given that armor that it is a very powerful?! armor piece made by the forerunners. I havent read or heard this scene for a long time however, im not sure. But in my eyes arbiter is the highest possible rank for sangheili...but they will die. (unlike arbiter in halo 3 who survived in the halo 2 events which was clearly not expected) Prophets are ugly bastards! :P Elites ftw!
