Why Artists NEED More Vault Space

While reading this interview this question was asked: "What do you think we can do to better support the artistic community?" To which, Hedgem0ny replied for Bungie to continue making great art. While I agree with this, I feel he missed a golden opportunity and will bring it up in hopes Bungie will see this. As an artist, the number 3 change I want in Destiny is higher vault space (behind server fixes being 1 and weapon balance being 2). Now, before you roll your eyes and X out of my post because we've heard more vault space at least a hundred times, allow me to explain why I want it, and I'm sure dozens of artists feel the same. One reason I play games, particularly RPG's, is for expression. I gain so much enjoyment from customizing my character and combining new and awesome permutations and sets of armor, as well as having a sweet collection of weapons for the simple reason that they look cool. This is the biggest thing I was disappointed with when I started playing and saw how much gear I had and how little space I had to put it. I love Halo so much because I am able to make a Spartan that represents not only my favorite armor combo because I like how cool it looks and marvel at the artistic genius behind Bungie's art department, but also create characters since I'm a story writer as well. However, Destiny denies me of this because I have such little space to put gear that looks cool, gear I have memories attached to, and gear that I have purely for how well it performs, all in only a few spaces. I created a Hunter and Warlock for only storage ( though I recently decided to level up the Warlock for both more space and to have a Warlock) and I shouldn't have had to do that. Now, I don't want to level up my hunter in fear that I'll crowd the nearly full inventory slots it has consisting of my past Titan gear I love. The update to the vault space upping the slots to 36 for weapons and 24 for armor was not even close to enough. Why didn't you guys just add in 100 or 200 slots so you would never have to worry about it for years and many DLC's/expansions? Anyway, I really hope you guys put this as a high priority because it really does halt my creativity and forces me to say goodbye to some gear I love.

  • The reason they didn't add in more vault space than the 36, etc. was because the 360 and ps3 couldn't handle it.

    • I'm sick of having to delete so many things I wish to keep, I have so much stuff, I have to be ruthless. A ps3 is made with better technology than what was used to put the first man on the moon; yet somehow this technology is unable to handle pages, or a similar alternative *facepalm*

      • I totally agree with you on this. There's so much stuff that I want to collect simply because it looks awesome (Stalker BNGL is one of the coolest looking guns in the game IMO) or has a cool/funny name and/or description (Nifty Biscuit, Echo 333?, Sir Isaac, just to name a few). Another problem is that I'm at the point where I'm not going to be playing much because I don't have any vault space and I don't want to push out the cool stuff at my postmaster.
