Likes and dislikes about the in-game scenery and world

The world of Destiny is, without a doubt, a sleek, new design to first person shooters as of this day in age ,although I do not like some of the graphic fidelity in the game. I was playing the game one day and started to just stop and look around the cosmodrome as it is my favorite place in Destiny that I can freely explore. Now that HoW released and we can go back to the beginning area I really noticed the things I like, dislike, and want in Destiny. I was there playing one of the HoW missions and I saw the rocks, snow, trees, and the wind picking up the dust and blowing it across the screen obscuring my vision. Just sitting there felt good but also scary as I felt I was in a hostile area with the destroyed cars, high wind, and I was outside of The Wall. I really like how the lighting, no matter where you are in Destiny, affects the mood when I play. The designs you, Bungie, have created for your worlds are fantastic in playing the lighting to affect the mood in the game. However the lighting when it is supposed to represent an evening or night time feeling is slacking. The only place that comes close to that feeling is when I'm under the foliage on Venus. When that time comes during the game time It feels that I'm in the shadow of a cloud blocking the sun. It ruins the immersion when I'm trying to play the game. Making the darkness deeper to make it seem like the night time in Skyrim. Before I continue I do not know if the engine and/or the consoles could support this at 30 frames a second, which should have been 60. Going back a bit, the hostile feeling I had was also shared when I enter the area in the cosmodrome where you first meet the Hive. The darkness which you need your Ghost (Peter Dinklebot) to light the area in front of you was a great addition. However, the light that your ghost made was to much. It illuminated to much of the area in front of me and was to bright, not to mention the extremely small area that it is. If you made more areas like that, and I noticed you did during Crota's Soul mission, in the future with the DLC's and future titles with less light that would make it feel scary and make you want to be cautious. While I was going through the darkness I saw some skeletons, who I should mention need to be a higher res and texture quality, and Hive hives that added to the atmosphere. Lots of the things in Destiny are brighter than they really should be like the sheet metal and rust along with lots of gray rather than black and deep, darker colors. As colors go there is a problem when I am in some areas and something is one color but when I enter a different area, for example Phogoths area, some colors are different and that bothers me but that may just be me. I will leave it there for now. I would like to hear from you other guardians and your opinions. Thank you for your time reading this.
