Petition to add field scout back
I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering why it was removed from the perk list. Bungie, please reinstate this perk that was so useful. It's the difference between keeping a scout rifle with a low mag and dismantling it, and taking a low mag sniper and turning it into something handy. Please Bungie, for the sake of our sanity, REVIVE THE GREAT FIELD SCOUT!!
If you would like to see it returned, just reply bump! It worked with fatebringer, let's see if they'll listen again

This post was loooong before ttk was even announced. The day I realized field scout and perfect balance were removed was a sad day. It was the week of iron banner and I decided not to go for gheleons demise since it couldn't have suitable roles. Fortunately, the petition is no longer needed since bungie did something I think is better by bringing the perks down to par instead of bringing them back.

it's a cheap way to make the year two weapons look "great", just make all the older ones shit by comparison, I was really hoping that it would be reduced if anything, not turned into a useless perk I spent hundreds of motes getting on multiple guns.

I get the idea behind separating extended mag from field scout. But all the good guns have field scout not extended mag. Sure the new guns can use it but the content that we were told would stay relevant for lower levels is teetering around the rim of the garbage can instead. Why would I go into VoG knowing that all of the guns will only be useful in PVE (thanks to all the year 1 weapon perk nerfs), only useful at level 34 and under, (cuz I can't infuse them with TTK weapons even if I wanted to), and will require me to go back in to the VoG to level up (since you cant get ascendant mats any other way)? The same is true for CE. Instead of ruining year 1gear to force us into year 2, why don't you just keep them separate? In the meantime I guess I'll just rewatch my gameplay of when breaking down items gave me mats, Jolder's Hammer held 150 bullets, and drops that you could only get in a raid were good for more than just the raid.

1 ReplyI miss the old perks, half the fun of getting a legendary was seeing the roll. Now you can just re roll a bunch of mediocre bs with any gun. Stupid on Bungie part IMO, should of kept it for ib weapons only. Just my 2cents

2 RepliesThey removed field scout from snipers too yeah? Only asking as I kept re rolling my her benevolence and couldn't get it. Ended up with clown cartridge and some shitty perk that increases mag size by 1 (-blam!-ing useless) and decreases other stats. Casket mag i think?

The new ammo perks such as casket mag are just plain horrible. It makes the new lmg vastly inferior to the old ones.
