“Another fine f*cking mess you’ve gotten our sorry asses into,” Bree snarled quite savagely at her brother. “Will you just relax? What did I tell you? Trust me, everything is going to work out just fine. All we have to do is figure out a way to get ourselves out of our current predicament.” Their predicament consisted of a dank, dark, dungeon cell in the bowels of the Queen of the Reef’s lair. A heavy iron door was the only way in or out of the damp cement prison, Bree and Brayden sat in a reclined position on the floor, their backs against the bricks, their arms pinned above their heads by shackles chained around their wrists. Their armor and helmets were removed, they sat in just their skin-tight, body temperature regulating under armor. “Oh? Is that all we have to do, well, why didn’t you just say that in the first place, that makes everything all better. F*cking asshole.” “Hey, I’m not the one who lost my shit back in that meeting and asked Ikora Rey if she had someone to lick her snatch,” Brayden glared, “Besides, who would you rather finish those Trials with? Guardians or outcasts from outer space?” “You aren’t understanding Brayden, right now, we aren’t in any position to go raiding with anybody. They are probably planning out our executions right now and it’s all because of you and your big mouth.” “My big mouth? Maybe if you hadn’t have told that air patrolman you had bigger balls than he does, we might be up in the throne room right now, instead of down here in the muck,” Brayden was starting to grow weary of his sister’s complaining. “Give me a f*cking break with that shit, the second we entered into their airspace we were in deep shit and don’t sit there and lecture me about my conduct in that pointless meeting. Lest you forget, you were the one that flipped them off.” “Like that had any bearing on anything. They already had their mind’s made up before we even set foot in that room,” Brayden let out a sigh “Now stop bitching and start thinking of something clever, I know for your brain that’s asking a lot, but we need to stop dicking around and figure something out before they contact the Tower, or worse, kill us.” A stillness fell over the cell as neither of them talked, not even so much as a flicker of light, which kept Bree’s face hidden from her brother, and for that, she was thankful. She closed her eyes tightly as her hands pulled gently at her restraints, the iron chains clinked softly as she moved slightly to try to sit in a different position. Suddenly, a little orb appeared and fully illuminated their cell in white light as bright as the sun itself, then the cringing, screeching sound of rusted iron bar’s being pulled open, then a tall Hellish figure stepped in through the gap. The siblings tried to focus their eyes on the being, but the light was too harsh and they had been in the dark for so long. “Well, well, well, would you look at what we have here,” a voice that sounded as eerie as the person it belonged to filled the room. “Looks like we have a couple of trespasser’s in our midst,” the figure walked in the middle of the cell, his hand resting on the twisted hilt of a vicious looking sword. “Do you happen to know what our policy is for uninvited guests to the Reef? Hmm?”, they knew right away who the voice belonged to; it was the Queen’s Brother; the Crow. “Um...A friendly handshake and a warm hug?” Brayden answered. “Close, but not quite. It’s actually a miracle that your flying heap of space junk wasn’t blasted out of the sky by our artillery when you first approached the Belt, and yet, here you are, against all odds,” he leisurely made his way to Bree, where he knelt down beside her. He inspected her face closely, even going so far as to running his blue fingers over her scars, she stiffened like a piece of wood at his touch. His hand grabbed her face tightly and he made her look at him, “What are you doing here? Who sent you?” “No one sent us, we came here on our own,” Bree was trembling with rage, her hands balled tightly into fists. “We came looking for help.” “Help?” the Crow laughed in her face before roughly letting go. “You’ll find no help here, child, as a matter of fact, the only thing you will find here, is your grave,” he stepped over her and knelt beside Brayden, but didn’t touch him. “I’ll ask you since that thing sitting next to you is pretty much useless for, well, just about anything; why are you here?” “She’s telling you the truth, we came here seeking the Queen, we were, shall we say, suspended f--” Brayden was cut-off when the backhand of the Crow collided sharply with Brayden’s face. It was a short, quick blow that was hard enough to draw blood from his nose, Bree reacted immediately, trying to lunge at this blue demon, but the chains kept her in place. “Too many words from creatures such as yourselves are poison for the ears,” he shot a glare at Bree, “I think you are here to assassinate my lovely sister and claim Her throne for yourselves, such is the way of your species, invading an area that doesn’t belong to you, killing every inhabitant and taking whatever is left for yourselves. Well, we shall put a stop to that ambition of your’s before it even has a chance to get started,” the Crow stood up from Brayden and moved back to the center of the room. Bree and Brayden’s eye’s never left him, they sat chained, completely helpless against whatever demented plans he had in store for them. The Crow produced, what looked like to be a key, from a hidden compartment in his clothing. He eyed the brother and sister carefully before a sinister grin appeared on his face. He deftly moved over and knelt back down next to Bree, he slid the key into the shackle on the right and the cuff popped free. Before Bree could even blink, his hand wrapped tightly around her wrist, he reached over to the left cuff, turned the key and as it unlocked he caught her left wrist in his other hand and deftly pulled her to her feet. Barefoot, the stone floor was rocky and freezing, her feet had already gone numb from the time they spent sitting, but she could still feel the unforgiving texture of the rock. Brayden sat forward, his own chains pulling hard on his wrists. “Don’t you f*cking touch her!” Brayden roared as he fought a battle he was going to lose against his bounds. “But you are too late my dear boy, I am already touching her, and it doesn’t seem that there is a damn thing that neither you nor this horrid looking freak can do about it,” The Crow’s eyes moved from Bree’s face to look at Brayden, Bree was struggling in his grasp trying to break his hold. “See? And guess what, I am going to continue to touch her until my heart’s delight, because nobody know’s that you two are down here and nobody is going to know that you two will be dead down here,” another disgusting grin danced across his lips. “You motherf*cker! Some big f*cking tough guy you are, picking on a defenseless girl, why don’t you try that shit on me?!” “Ha, ha...Simple, watching you squirm, helpless to help her only multiplies my enjoyment of this moment,” the grin still on his face, his attention fully focused on Brayden, and that’s what Bree was hoping for... I hope you guy's enjoyed chapter 2! Feel free to leave me any comments or suggestions, as usual, I'll post a poll as well! Thank you for reading! This is an... interesting kind of story in comparison to your other work on scrota's kid. I think a little more background plot would be nice, but I'm sure this gets even better :)
