Variks armor
Why does every armor piece have a strength roll on it? Your driving me nuts with all strength on my characters!

My Titan exile set it 402 strength with 0 intellect and low discipline. What.

It's an obvious way to keep you grinding. They know strength is a poor stat. Most people want high int. Course melee isn't good in pve. This is the poor mans 34 so to speak. It's gets you to cap but at a cost of any worthwhile stat. They did the same for crota reg most gear had all strength untill you ran hm. Better way is to use light on old gear as it has way better stats.

6 RepliesIf you judgements chance, you have a better chance at armor with different stats and final ability. Same with weapons.

7 RepliesEdited by KIWI LEGEND: 6/8/2015 11:01:11 PMUse etheric light to upgrade other armour. I too didn't want all strength because I like having 100% Intellect, so I've used etheric light on VoG armour to get the intellect I want. Plus the VoG armour looks way cooler than the weird HoW stuff.

Because Mark my words.. This round is all going to be Strength. Next week it will be another for each piece of armor. Following month it will be another for each piece of armor. Its the only way your going to be able to get all of the Rolls is doing each piece at the right time and it keeps POE worth a Darn past your Lvl 34.

Random stats? No way! Only the strong survive the prison. Give it 100% str. Perfect no the guardians will be super stronk

3 RepliesThis is a big problem for the pure PVE player. The only way to get Etheric Light reliably in PVE is PoE 34 and 35. You need Varik's Armor to make 34 if you don't do ToO and/Or IB. More than the raids, PoE makes a good stat balance on one's gear crucial. Deej/Bungie. Please look into this. Give that the helm is now strength as well, it's no even worth it for me to run PoE this week. I'll concentrate on Iron Banner and hope nightfall drops Light. Also I feel completing a raid should reward Etheric Light. Once per raid per week per character. It gives lower level players a chance to get it if their gear is not high enough for IB or 34 PoE

1 ReplyYou should of got a hint by week two that buying armor from Variks was a complete con, maybe even the first week. This entirely your own fault. Nobody forced you to buy the gear Variks sold since. Just because it is new doesn't mean you have to buy it, there is the Judgments Chance after all. I was very reluctant to buy the armor on the first week but I did just to run the Level 35 PoE. Seeing as you are complaining that your characters are stacking Strength, I can only assume that you have blown all of the Etheric Light you have earned (to date) on Legendary weapons instead of ascending your best Legendary armor. Another mistake, because if you could ascend Legendary armor [u]at this very moment[/u], you wouldn't really be complaining because you could adjust your armor slots to get the stats you want and ascend it from there. The clever Guardians out there would have ascended the best armor in each slot for each character before even touching their Legendary weapons.

OMG! I know how you feel with all this shity strength on everything, I want to put all the Kell Hunters armor on because is helps in PoE but it has all this damn strength on it so I just throw it in the vault

3 RepliesEdited by Gu4rdi4n Down: 6/4/2015 9:14:31 AMYou guys make me laugh, you've had months before HoW was released to get set with good armour builds from Crota, IB, Vog etc why on earth have you not used Etheric to upgrade 3 or so pieces on your main character add an exotic if you wish and just 1 or even none of variks items to keep some stability in your build, more armour with different perks will come along as the game develops.

I have a theory on it. I think that after they sell the boots (which will also have strength) the next week they'll start over, but the armor will have different stats. This will keep people running the prison so they can get gear with stats they want

I got an intellect roll on my helm that helps. As a Sunsinger strength can be okay. My favorite combo is max intellect. with above average strength.

To make you want to run the harder settings for better stats. Think of this as the cheap gear it gets you to 34 with little effort. Then you run PoE on high levels for better stat gear. If you played crota you may have noticed the same thing easy mode gave you shit stats like all strength gear with better stats was harder to drop. Or you had to run hard mode to get the better stat gear. This is done intentionally to make you run it over and over. Was worse when you needed shards. After investing tons of shards in shit gear you had to do it all over again
