Serving the few to the determent of the many

Dear Bungie and Deej, I have been playing Destiny since January and I really enjoy it. I was looking forward to House of Wolves, but have been greatly disappointed. I sincerely hope you will take a moment to read this, as I know I can't be alone in feeling this way about the update. Trials of Osiris: I am pretty good at Crucible; I'd say I average coming in second place in most games. I tried Trials three times the first weekend and it was one horrible experience after another. Everyone was either sniping or so good at this that my team, which included guys who could get 30 kills in a game, was wiped out. It was a completely aggravating experience and more importantly it was not fun. Some people will react and say I'm not good enough at Crucible...and the truth is that they're right. However, that means that half of the DLC content is unreachable to me and I suspect hundreds of thousands of others who literally do not eat, sleep and drink crucible (in other words, we have lives with responsibilities beyond playing video games). I'd like to play an even match against equal opponents, but that's not how the system even works. I didn't even bother playing it this week and have no desire to waste time in the future with it. Prison of Elders: After the initial excitement about new content, I think there is a very real and harsh truth about POE; it is redundant and, I am sorry to say, boring. Sitting through 4 or 5 rounds of the same thing over and over again to then finally get to what is usually an incredibly difficult boss is draining and, like Trials, just not fun. And if you're not 34 forget about playing level 34 or 35 (which you can't get to unless you are super good at the game anyway). I've wasted far too much time getting to the final boss to then waste even more time not being able to get past the final boss. At that point I just shake my head and, for the first time, really start to feel like playing this game is a waste of my time. I'm a single parent, I work and raise my son. I enjoy playing and socialize with friends online. That's fun for me. What you did with House of Wolves, however, is just not fun. It's as if you designed it for just the hardcore expert players at the expense of the rest of us. Thanks for listening. Stu

 • I don't mind it being hard but it honesty just starts to feel like meaningless work, and as you said, no fun. My biggest issue is getting in and playing without having to put together a team. Maybe I would feel different if I actually got into to play easier.
