Weapon reforging... impossible odds!
I recently got a nice pulse rifle. [url=http://destinydb.com/items/3478790848-hopscotch-pilgrim#14.1isxd68;15.2,2:3,2:4,5:5,2:7,3,0:8,3,0]I want these perks.[/url] But the chance of rolling that is [b]1/1600.[/b] I now need about [b]1600 motes of light, 4800 weapon parts, and 400000 glimmer.[/b] I can handle the glimmer, but the motes and especially weapon parts will take an [i]eternity.[/i]
[u]Pulse rifles have WAY more perks than other guns, and this makes their reforging nonviable.[/u] Please do something.
Currently reforging is just another RNG gamble that only rewards the obscenely lucky (I got a perfect PvP sniper, for example). It's really unfair. I hate unfair things.

2 Repliesi like it. i think this game desperately needed it tbh. what i would like to see is maybe the option to "lock" a perk in place with a mote of light or something so that once you get one you like it's saved while you roll other perks. but it's definitely an appreciated new feature to the game.

You misunderstood how chance works. You have a 1/1600 chance per roll, and won't change on the next. If you reforge over 10s if thousands, you can see that the chance getters twirls the expected %. Before you complain about stats, take the class in high school or college first. And about the system, it's fine as it is. If you want something specific, you likely won't get it. Just try looking for most of what you want or even better, something you can work with. (Mind spelling cuz mobile)

Hell why do you think I've been grinding vanguard dragon strikes, they are easy, complete bounties, level up weapons, chance at exotics, able to test out new perks, and get engrams which can turn into motes/weapons/sc

5 RepliesI mentioned an idea in a post a few days ago which was something along the lines of "1 Mote of light to reroll the whole gun. 5 motes of light to hold a perk and reroll the rest". I think that would be pretty fair.

You have to keep in mind that before house of wolves, if you didn't like a perk roll, you got rid of tjat gun-No matter how good it's stats were. Come now, we have an option-shard it, reroll it, or keep it as is. This game's loot system is RNG, meaning that you could get that roll on your first go(like the pulse rifle ony hunter), Or you may never get it.
