I may never go 9-0, but I'll never cheat

For those who do cheat: I may never get 9-0 in Trials, but I will NEVER cheat my way there (being carried does not count). If I get there, I want to get there legitimately. I want to feel like I earned it. If I cheat, everything I get will be meaningless, worthless. People might not know that I cheated, but I would, and I would never think of myself the same way. No, I am not saying that you cheated if you got there. I'm saying that no one should cheat their way there. Work for it and earn it, then it'll mean a lot more to you. I know there aren't actually that many cheaters, but there shouldn't be any. Yes, it's just a game, but I'd always look at that emblem and know that I had to cheat in order to get it. Cheating isn't worth it, guys. Do your best, have fun, and you'll eventually get there. You don't want to get banned and lose everything you worked for. I know there aren't that many cheaters, but it sucks that there are as many as there are. To the majority of you who don't cheat, thank you - you make Trials brutally difficult, and it'll feel good when I finally get to the Lighthouse.
:)
Edit: I define cheating as lag switching, modding, or anything that breaks the agreement with Bungie or that the community majority considers to be immoral. Using Thorn/TLW/Red Death doesn't count as cheating. Using blink/shotgun doesn't count as cheating. Edit 2: cheesing is not considered cheating Edit 3: Damn, I didn't say that everyone who went to the lighthouse cheated. Obviously, that isn't true. I know most of those people didn't cheat. Edit 4: you know what I want more than this? More freaking VAULT SPACE. Edit 5: Jeez, these threads seem to come back to life as I sleep. You all are ninjas. Edit 6: from LittleManMurph
Also, take time to review the article on networking. Some things can be corrected and some things will be out of your control. A direct LAN cable connection from your console to router will make a world of difference. No offense if you already know it but may help another coming across this post.
Good tip. Try to optimize your network configuration and use a wired connection if possible. Make sure your ports are forwarded, and if necessary you can prioritize your network traffic for your console. Edit 7: I got to the Lighthouse, thanks to some really awesome guys. I won't put your names, because I don't want you guys to get slammed with messages. But thanks again :) I'll see you in Iron Banner, where I can really do well!
