Anyone else disappointed with HOW?
What's your opinion guys?
Personally it's turn me off the game a bit.

1 ReplyI like ToO, but I'll NEVER waste a single minute on PoE again. Wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much effort for no rewards and I couldn't be bothered to waste even more time on top of that to farm for a chance to get keys. Bungie can piss off with their dominating desire to make us grind.

The story... Ugh it still doesn't grip me :/ they didn't even give Skolas a proper introduction, his was just a name getting thrown around a little bit and then there he was. You literally did nothing to make me care about this guy? And you're telling me that he'd only make one pass at the other houses? 'Well, I tried to get the House of Devils but that Guardian killed some of my assassins. Ah well. Venus, anybody?' It felt so watered down. I was expecting an intergalactic manhunt, culminating on a new planet (as in, the snowy one that [b]you people advertised[/b]) instead it was 'go back to all of the old areas, kill some reskinned enemies, go to this marginally new area with a Mario-esque jump feature, and kill a bigger reskinned enemy. I wouldn't say it's all bad, PoE [i]is[/i] a breath of fresh air, now I can alternate between that, Crucible, and the strikes for three different experiences that make it easier to play for longer durations, the higher levels could certainly benefit from matchmaking but I'm not telling you anything new. I wasn't too fussed about there not being a Raid, I'm in no rush for another weekly grind and [i]more[/i] LFG combing. The Reef [i]is[/i] a nice new social area. And the story missions aren't that bad themselves, okay, I like what's there, but because they are [i]all[/i] that we get, they aren't enough. I don't mind running some missions backward or revisiting areas, provided there's a lot of new content beside it.. But there wasn't? Where was the creativity here? Edit: Percentages have been ruined

My opinion on Destiny after a zillion hours: Some of us play video games for the escape or to get caught up in a story and brain drain. PvE. Grade: F In a nutshell, you kill a bunch of bad guys to get a cool new gun/armor..... To go back out and kill more bad guys to get a new gun/armor....... Rinse repeat over and over and over and over ........ Graphics : A Mechanics: A The whole game is built on fighting other players. It lacks the emotional reason to play. No sense of story or pursuit of noble cause. That underlying "reason" is at the heart of all entertainment ..... Escaping into another world. Destiny totally failed at this. Making it an average fighting game. Nothing more.

50/50. The prison is fun up to a point. The top two levels are crazy hard with certain modifiers. So it's not consistent from week to week. Plus, I spent a lot of time making friends for a six person activity. Then it switches to three. Etheric light is to hard to get for someone that can't play a lot. I play more than my fair share of Destiny and about half of that is with my wife. She doesn't enjoy the chaos of a level 34-35 POE run, so she has to get lucky in a NF or suffer through a 34 run to obtain Etheric light. At least in the raid, the load could be shared a little. It is much harder to share that load in POE, so she is left out of upgrades because of no Etheric light. The raids don't give her new stuff, so she has cut way back which makes me cut way back. Before the update I played with my friends and we could all get good rewards. Now, I have to decide who to play with and someone is always left out. We are talking about moving on to a new game.

Entire game is a huge disappointment. DLC = short chopped up story + relevel all of your gear. Armor is pointless. Arm/chest/leg/face tattoos are all we need. Put a big "+30 Light" tattoo on my face because that is the only stat that matters on any given piece. Real innovative... Every PvE activity is the same. Shoot the blue shields with blue bullets, etc. and boss = bullet sponge.

1 ReplyLike PoE... like new fallen themed stuff... Finally decided to try End game content....... Found out I completely hate putting in extra work into a game in order to arrange my own fireteams online... I will not be going for comet unless I see some quick changes to endgame for matchmaking.... (also not happy about buying game whos original concept, story, and well everything, was scrapped, chopped up, and lsowly resold as DLC (because they need time to redesign parts of the original game as they chop it up to resell) )

1 ReplyLol I love HoW ever since it came out I got 4 legendarys and an icebreaker the loot system is really working for me. Before HoW I played more hours and got one Broken Truth from an engram. (It's a sniper rifle.)

House of wolves is an upgrade on the dark below but that's not saying much as the dark below was 3/10 at best, HoW offers a few new things to do each week but the thing I said way back when the hype train started after the first live stream this content has no longevity, after next week every one should be 34 on all classes as 3 items will have been sold so what's the real point to PoE after that other than the exotic bountys cause it's already clear the treasure chest has been majorly nerfed already as all it gives now are them trash queen weapons. Now you have trails of Osiris which could be promising if the mode was changed, elimination doesn't make for competitive MP all it brings is campy play an slow an boring paced games, if this was changed Trails of Osiris would be the saving grace of this Dlc but if it stays as it is player participation will get less an less with each passing week.

It really to me seems about the same as the Crota DLC, but really seems half finished to me. Theres a lot of hints at a raid.... thats not there. PoE is repetitive, takes longer than a strike, and when you hit rank three in HoJ, it will be pointless to do low rank versions of it. Not to mention two PoE bosses need to be reworked so you dont haft to gorn cheese them.
