I completely agree with you. Everyone who is saying that it's either fine, or actually too easy to get, all have a common story: they do levels 34 and 35 of PoE on all three characters each weak, and spend all weekend playing ToO. Yeah, ok, I get it, you have plenty. But not all of us either have the ability or the desire to constantly maintain three characters over that many activites, and the game shouldn't be structured around the idea that you will do that, which it currently is. And not everyone has the ability to put together fireteams of people to do all of these [i]non-matchmade[/i] endgame activities multiple times a week. The point is, if you are willing to put up with the grind and can easily organize a team of people who want to do the same, you're set. You have more of it than you know what to do with. But if you are a solo player, or someone who doesn't want to dedicate your life and the life of your friends to it, etheric life is virtually non-existent. Until I can actually get to level 34, and my friends can do the same, Iron Banner is my only guaranteed method of getting it. And frankly I'm not looking forward to playing Iron Banner as a level 33 (and i'm only a level 33 because i'm using gear that has the light, not the gear i want to use) and using 331 attack guns against level 34 players who have 365 attack guns. I imagine it's not going to be very fun. Etheric light should just be a guaranteed drop from the nightfalls, in addition to whatever your other reward is. And it should also drop from the level 32 PoE. And before anyone complains that that would make it too easy to get, ask yourself, were ascendant materials ever this difficult to obtain? I got all the ascendant materials I could ever want just from nightfalls, daily heroics, public events, engrams, and dismantled drops. I didn't have to compete in the absolute highest tier activity just to get any at a respectable rate. And if you're the kind of player who's practically swimming in it because you play Trials all weekend, how will making it easier to get affect you at all? It's already super easy for you. What does it matter? There is an imbalance here.

It should be apparent to everyone that House of Wolves is primarily PvP centric. The latest news of selling Etheric Light in Iron Banner is more evidence. 2 EL from PoE per Character chance at EL for each NF (but only 1 chance per character). That is what 9 EL for PvE if you are very lucky. 4 EL from ToO if you go Flawless per Character (but you can keep trying until you do get flawless) 2 El for Iron Banner. That is 12 per week plus another 6 when IB comes ti town. double what you might get (most likely triple what you will get) doing PvE. So if you solely play PvE you will simply not get as much etheric Light per week as a pure PvP player (he will get double your guarantee). On another note, the PvE "raid" weapons are such crap with their Fallen specific perks (seriously, who needs a Shank-burn rocket launcher). The PvP versions are much much better.

Honestly treasure keys are mostly worthless. Aside from the one exotic from the very first one opened, I've gotten nothing great aside from mediocre queen weapons. Not worth grinding chests at all.

I hear ya, 6 nightfalls, a handful of 28 and level 32 POE runs myself on two toons and I haven't gotten a single one yet either...

If you can't complete the high end content then just stick to level 32 and possibly run ToO for 5 wins and you'll get enough armor to get 34 quickly then can complete 34 to get the etheric light. I mean if you used the armor core last week and got the arms and you use it this week to get the chest and run ToO for 5 wins you are all 42 light armor except a helm so perfect place to use an ascended exotic helm. They shouldn't increase the rate, its meant to be hard to get. That's like saying they shouldn't require you to complete VoG to get to 30 or they shouldn't require you to complete crota's raid to get to 32. If you want to get the best stuff you have to do the highest content.

I have 3 34's, I didn't farm for hours or rush into it, I did the prison of elders runs and trials of Osiris, I've leveled enough armour so I can have different combinations anf all the guns I wanted/needed and still have theric light just sitting in my vault. Not saying this as a brag but just telling you that its easy if you just play.
