The hardest part: The bubble spawns every 60 seconds. Killing the ally gives you a 30 second jailbreak. Timing is important.
It takes 42-365 Gallys or about 100 shots of a rocket/sniper combo.
It's a team effort. We went right. One person is solely responsible for gaining jailbreak. Preferably hunter. Middle person is enemies first, qodron when possible. Third person is qodron only. Know your role and complete your part.
Go right. As soon as your first jailbreak is complete all three take three shots at qodron. Three. Then it's back to your roles. Don't get too greedy.
If you can get 10 shots on qodron per rotation it should take around 10-12 minutes.
If someone dies, focus on the Jailbreak, res and get back to objective.

Edited by Who Xur Daddy: 5/29/2015 11:10:59 PMYou're making this far too difficult. One Titan with helm st 14, and preferable two warlocks. 3 365 gjallys with 14 ready to roll. Pop a bubble well out in front of the airlock so you can jump and spam him with rockets (at the entrance, like most people do, you can't jump bc of the overhang). If you don't finish him off before the first detainment field, the warlocks revive (at which point you can just run out of the detainment fields) and finish him off with whatever rockets they have left and a sniper rifle. Done in well under a minute. Beat him four times so far, and in under three attempts each time. EDIT: What in the hell is wrong with you people? Can you not read?!? Clearly, I stated this as being the easiest method IF YOU DO have 3 Gjallarhorns. If you DONT have three, then yes, you have to do it the hard way. I didn't realize I had to spell that out for your morons. However, the OP mentioned how many Gjallarhorn shots it takes to take him down. So, it's a fair assumption that discussing a method using them is fair game. I posted this to try to help some people that are making this boss far more difficult than necessary, yet some of you friggin morons want to jump my shit anyway. I swear, half the people on this forum are flat out friggin morons.

Just do the Weapons of Light/Gjallarhorn strategy. We took him down before he put us in the first detainment shield.
-
Or you could have a gunslinger with celestial nighthawk on jailbreak duty because it will oneshot everyone's bubbles WITHOUT jailbreak
-
And it's FAR less than 42 rockets because it can be done with three 365 gallys in less than two synths even without solar burn. I had rockets left after we beat him twice yesterday.
-
My team went left, popped Blessing, only killed adds if they got too close, gained Jailbreak, stood together to take out shields at one time (two gunslinger shots with jailbreak), fired Ghorn & Hunger. Worked like a charm

Edited by Bunny Douglas: 5/29/2015 3:02:59 PMI prefer the 36 - 42 Gjallarhorn rockets to the face piece, method. Takes a whopping 45 seconds.
-
Takes nowhere near 42 horns. The three of us still had a handful of rockets after he died.
-
Anybody doing this with 3 33's? Wondering if we should even bother lol.
-
I did it yesterday with 2 34s and 1 33. The 33 killed himself on accident immediately with his hunger of crota. Myself (titan) and he hunter kept breaking bubbles, reviving the two times we each died separately, and managed to kill Qodron two man. We were pretty pumped.
-
Pretty damn easy going left, all shotguns, kill adds, stack, shotgun out of the bubbles, repeat until boss down. The thing that makes it so easy is there isn't much threat of wiping. Even if one person dies from a slow bubble break, you just pick em up again. The adds are so easy to kill, and boss doesn't really do much but wander around up top.
-
I just did it with a 33 warlock and 2 34. One of the 34s didn't have a max ghorn
-
Congrats on getting it done. I disagree with the 42 shots w/Gallys mentioned. It takes 30 hits with Gjallahorn to put him down.
-
We ignored the eye and wiped when the bubble came up. Just save a rocket for the bubble and kill yourself before the bubble does it and takes your supers. A warlock self revived and got ev1 up. We ate our heavy and went back to DPS. A second warlock was saving his super, but we didn't need it.
-
We did it with 3 34s, 2 365 gallys and a 365 hunger and no where near 42 rockets
-
Did It with 3 hunters and only w bubbles.

Edited by D.Warlock13: 5/29/2015 3:10:06 PMWe did it with a level 33 and this is what happened I do believe weapons of light just increase the impact and not the Wolfpack rounds, I missed one shot lol but my friends did around 36, BTW the level 33 didn't have a max gally

Two hunters and a warlock all gally no detainment no Titan bubble =dead true story and the big servitor exact same story no joke
-
We counted last night... it is between 34-36 365 gallys from level 34's. he goes down before the first containment bubble. don't do weapons of light because it doesn't increase rockets. Do blessing, and get your rockets off fast.
-
For all idiots that STILL DONT KNOW THIS... WEAPONS OF LIGHT DOESNT AFFECT GJALLARHORN
-
Orrrrrr, just pop a bubble with blessing out light. Everyone gally him. Pop synth. Continue until dead.
-
Edited by SeaWolv: 5/29/2015 1:47:34 PMI did this with both a team of Warlocks and a mixed team of each class. While I was a Titan we all came out with full Gjallarhorns and synth ready. I popped a bubble at the top of the stairs with WoL and we all unloaded on him stepped into bubble and popped a synth and repeated. Dead in less than 45 seconds. All Warlock team same thing but no WoL used Radiance after popping synth (damn Xb360 menu load lag) and continued DPS he was dead in same amount of time.
-
It does not take 42 gally shots from 3 34's running weapons of light. Killed him before the first bubble on all 3 characters

Nice post man
