Is DeeJ and or Bungie monitoring feedback this week 5-28-2015? OMM subject
I've seen a ton of traffic this week around OMM (Optional matchmaking) and no comments from DeeJ and or Bungie this week, unless I missed it. :-) DeeJ/Bungie you thoughts please...I'm sure most folks would like to see an OMM for all strikes, NF and up to level 34 on PoE. (even normal VOG and Crota)
Key word here is "optional", so for all you folks that have enough friends or like the LFG, this would not affect your game play at all. :-)

1 ReplyBungie only pretends to listen to feedback. It's like calling a radio station to make a request. They just wait till they get a call from someone who requests what was already next on the play list. Then they make it look like it was really ever up to us.

They had a problem with inactivity when adding MM to the weekly, you really think they want to deal with that for nightfalls and raids, too? You're already on the forum, just find a group and get shit done.

2 RepliesI used this app to find a team to do atheon cp normal...found a group of 4 random 33s..it took us almost an hr and a half....2 of them had never done the VOG before..1 had never touched the relic...yeah OMM would be so much worse

17 RepliesDeej responded over the holiday weekend. His response was that its Bungie's philosophy that it should be a challange find a group. To me that says that they expect their user to find accessing their game challenging. As a mobile developer who regularly has to fit 5 gallons of water worth of UI into a 3 gallon buck worth of a screen because my boss doesn't want anyone making more than 3 screen presses because he keeps quoting Tom Cruise's NASA quote "three clicks to oblivion", I find deliberately making accessing content a challenge an atrocious philosophy.

Bungie is listening. They're taking time as they need to decide: How many new currencies to add and the glimmer cost to purchase a Token of Optional Matchmaking. Couple this with the new House of LFG rep that you will need. I hear that they will take it easy this time and only require rank 50, with only three monthly bounties awarding 250 each.

I'll cut to the chase we need OPTIONAL matchmaking in every thing. So in my opinion this is the difference between having a in game matchmaking and what we use today outside of the game for group matching. Today's way of endgame matchmaking. 1-Pick up phone 2-find lfg app that's wasting space on my phone 3- find a group that doesn't require the freaking gjallarhorn because I dont have one 4- once you find the group go into the message friend option on the console 5- try to spell the extremely long and ridiculous name of the person in charge of the group. 6- wait for response 7-get no response 8- repeat steps 1 through 6 9- finally get response 10- get Into group 11- halfway through RANDOM group people go afk or group fails. 12- repeat steps 1 through 11 The way it should be...... 1- start game 2- push matchmaking button 3-play game 4-have fun The elite payers can still have their premade games, people can still solo and the none elites can have matchmaking we all win!!!! All I ask is for the option.

It's will take a little time for the Devs to develop a considered view on this matter so Deej can provide the Community with feedback. The Community just needs to continue to provide constructive feedback as to why OMM is needed and how this will contribute to higher participation rates and retention rates - this last point is the key.

3 RepliesMatchmaking doesn't guarantee communication and that's such a key part of all the end game content. That alone should be incentive enough to not add matchmaking.

The new content basically requires having a group at your beck and call whenever you play or you can't -blam!-ing do anything. Not sure what the hell they were thinking with no MM
