If Destiny's Next DLC gets less than 90 on Metacritic...
As a gamer, I have a philosophy too.
I expect publishers to create a halfway decent product. The Witcher 3 cleared a score of 92.
Bungie wants to raise the bar on players, but how are they in a position to judge people that try to play their game and exclude them from content for not being a certain type of gamer?
Bungie, I've proven myself in every possible way in this game regarding skill and diplomacy and leadership etc. Sure, I've almost formed bonds with some of the strangers I play with, but this is the internet and Destiny is just a game.
So, what are you doing to prove yourselves to the players? Oh, scoring 4.5 out of 10 on metacritic? 68 out of 100 for the professional critic's score? Telling people to go -blam!- themselves if they don't agree with bungies gaming "philosophy?"

Witcher 3: will give away 16 dlcs for free. No special edition gimmicks, no console dividing exclusives. I like CD PROJEKT philosophy much better than Bungie's lol

Does reviews really matter? Half those people do it to shift the industry to others likings and get handed a sack of cash to say this and that. Destiny is not a bad game. It's cashed in as something that will keep you coming back. And it has done better than every call of duty game on its first title, yet another franchise that shoots out content to keep people playing the game for until the next one comes out. It's a game none the less, but in theory it's a experiment for what comes ahead of us.

1 ReplyHonestly everyone thinks bungie is greedy but it cost bungie so much money to make this game that all they r trying to do is make their money back and get even more so they can bring you things like DLCs and updates and so they can pay there hardworking employees. Also check your stats they were totally off stop ranting about how bad this game is there are millions of people playing the crap out of this gaming and loving every second of it and making new friends and taking there time to play the game and not just trying to complete it in one day so you can be the first to rate it. If you don't like the game return it and don't ruin it for everybody else that actually like this game. If you don't like the DLCs don't buy them just don't rant about how bad it is.

That's a "Generally Favorable Review", as Metacritic puts it. "Generally Favorable" means that Destiny is "much more than halfway decent" in the professional critics' opinions. User score on PS4 is 6.2, 37% higher than the 4.5 that you stated. Based on over 4500 ratings. George. Please. Don't just make up numbers, when those numbers can be fact-checked by anyone with a search bar. You haven't proven yourself anything, except as a guy with a grudge against Bungie for not obeying your whims. You're going to quit playing Destiny with the next DLC? Good riddance.

11 RepliesMetacritic is a terrible way to base the success of a game. Some of the funnest games I have ever played are rated in the 60's, like Warframe, Pokemon Snap got a 77, Halo 2, the game everyone wants Destiny to be more like, got a 72, compared to Destiny's 75. Some games like Rayman Legends, Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition, Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee - New 'n' Tasty, and NBA 2K14 are all rated well over 80. yet are games I would never consider picking up. There's even some cases where the critic's score was high (97/100) and the user's score was pitiful (5.7/10) like NFL 2k1. I don't care what someone who plays through the game as fast as possible to be the first person to write a review thinks of the game. 90% of the time I don't care what the user's input is. If I like the game, then I will play it, if I don't like it I won't. Forget someone else telling me what is good and what is not.

2 RepliesI only had the dlc becuase the gardian edition was a Christmas present from a friend. So I was sort of forced to play it. The comet better be a show stopper wih the most fantastic story ever told in a video game universe, or else I'm never touching a bungie or activision product again.

11 RepliesRatings aren't how you should judge a game. I personally think destiny is one of the best games out this year. There's few aspects I genuinely have a complaint about. On the other hand I wasn't even interested in witcher 3. Everything is subjective. You should judge a game on your own interest not what some "expert" says about it.
