Bungie seriously you've Nerfed Full Auto Rifles to the point that they are unusable and no longer fun for anyone. Please patch/buff asap, I know everyone has their personal favorites and yes everyone's going to complain from time to time but this is beyond acceptable and is out of control. Due to the latest patch the Entire Full Auto Community has been Alienated if not dead at this point.
Please restore Full Auto Rifles to a respectable state, one that can keep hand canons in check, not over powered but in check. Since hand canons are now the undisputed overpowered weapons in pvp/Trial of Osiris . And yes the player with the better skill in most cases will do better that's a given, but just as you've stressed that everyone should be able to use their favorite weapons without being overpowered or forced to use a different class weapon so should the players who enjoy Full Auto Rifles be able to enjoy their favorites as well and at least be able to put up a fight.
Please Buff Full Auto's ASAP!

2 RepliesThey've made them useless in PVE with how far they took the nerf as well. It takes me two clips to kill trash mobs with some of them. That's OVERKILL on the nerfing.

It's funny really auto rifles and suros in particular were never anywhere even close to being as ridiculously overpowered as gjallarhorn. Yet they have been nerfed to the point of being unusable while gjallarhorn has remained untouched. Explain?

Agreed they need to fix it. Im not even playing anymore partially because of what they did to the auto rifles. This game sways to what ever gun they want when ever. Stop playing GUN GOD and let people chose for themselves. Oh and for the dude who said something about needing accuracy obviously u have never used an auto rifle its not just point and shoot.

1 ReplyI love how they nerfed the auto rifles. Now rather then damage being done by just pointing and shooting we now need to be accurate with the shots we take. Spray and pray have (mostly) been taken out of the game play. If you use hand cannons every shot counts same with scout rifles. Pulse rifles are sort of dependent on accuracy but not as much as the other guns. Anyway having a game where auto rifles done dominate in like most others FPSs have is a really refreshing change and I hope they don't ever buff auto rifles back up or at all.

I'd like to see auto rifles back to the way they were. As of now I reforge auto rifles to have the glass half full perk to make them half decent.

Bump. The only real good two for me are Monté Carlo and WolfSlayer's claw, but those are pretty much just crucible. I never use auto rifles in PvE anymore unless they have a perk or burn that would be beneficial to the current situation

Bump They still kick arse if you can manage the recoil but overall could be better.

i picked up two monte carlo's a couple of days ago needles to say one was scrap. however i just want to use it in pvp without getting assist streaks or going negative..

Personally I've started falling back in love with ARs. Got a few from Crucible I reforged and am enjoying the results.

ARs are mid range weapons for a reason tho. They're not CQB weapons. But, if you use the right weapons & rolls you can get AR kills with ease. I've been killed with some new ones & I use HCs because the impact & TTK is higher than AR no matter how high the impact of the AR is.

Bump! No more nerfs! I think if we just get more options in pvp, we can easily begin to match up with hand canons. I think autos would be a good matchup for canons

I'm sanguine about the AR nerf. I think it is foremost a response to everyone using them to get around lag-issues in Crucible: you win with rapid-fire Auto Rifle over one mongo-blasting Launcher when someone is on a poor connection, or induced one, into a match. I do think a machine-gun should expect inaccuracies due to recoil more than they build-in, and the distance nerf makes this physics model feel true. I'm still killed plenty in Crucible by Hard Light and Souros, but you need to get in closer. Not as close as Shotgun, distance like Fusion, but a rapid-fire weapon still wrecks due ongoing network structure. I do not believe the Internet can provide us with the experience we all want. It is all work-arounds until then.
