I literally cannot play Destiny at all. HUGE NETWORKING ISSUES. Pls HELP BUNGIE!

I literally have done everything in my power to correct the networking issues I've been experiencing with Destiny. Below I have listed the steps I took to rectify the networking issues I have been experiencing. Hopefully someone from Bungie can let me know what the heck is going on. Note: I completed all these steps on May 27, 2015. 1) I contacted my ISP, upgraded to their second fastest internet package and exchanged my old router for a new Hitron Technologies CGN3 router. 2) I hooked up my new router and tested the connection; my download speed was 100 mbps and upload was 10 mbps. 3) I logged into my router and assigned a static IP address to my XboxOne by using the DCHP Reservation option, as per the Port Forwarding website's instructions. 4) I assigned ports 53, 80, 88, 500, 3074, 3544, and 4500 to my XboxOne's static IP address in my router's Port Forwarding setting. 5) I assigned ports 7500-17899 and 30000-40399 in the Port Triggering setting in my router. 6) I enabled the DMZ setting in my router and made my XboxOne IP address host. 7) I turned off my router and the XboxOne, unplugged them and turned both systems back on. In my XboxOne's Network settings it indicated my NAT was open and the connection was "all good". 8) I opened Destiny and attempted to play a PvE level on the Moon. I was transported to the Moon, however, I was disconnected within minutes. 9) Afterwards I undone steps 5 and 6, since these steps were not from the Port Forwarding website but from other troubleshooting sites, repeated step 7 and 8. Again, I was being disconnected from every PvE game I tried joining. 10) Throughout my journey I came across the following error messages: Anteater, Baboon and CACAO (there may have been more). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEE HELP ME! I've done everything humanly possible to troubleshoot the networking issues I have been experiencing but nothing is working. At this point I know it has to be an issue with Destiny, unless you can tell me other wise. HELP BUNGIEEEEEEEEEEE!! EDIT: My XboxOne is wired into my router and I disabled the WiFi.

  • As another gamer has posted there is currently problems with the Hintron modem and staying connected to the game servers. You are not alone with this problem and unfortunately there is no 100% fix yet. The isp's that use this modem are trying to get it fixed. Make sure you call and get a tracking ticket number fron your isp so once the problem is fixed you will be entitled to some sort of compensation. Cheers (I hate hintron at the moment)

EDIT: SOLUTION... possibly NOTE: You'll require a second router for this solution to work. I used the Linksys E2500. I believe I found a work around based on various other Guardians feedback and suggestions, which for now I'm not being disconnected from Destiny. The following websites assisted me with troubleshooting, I would recommend you take a look at them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXzidslAZdc Portforward.com Linksys Router Here are the steps that I took to troubleshoot the issue I have been experiencing, hopefully it works for you too: 1) I reset my Hitron Technologies CGN3 router, logged into it, and followed the instructions found at Rogers.com to turn bridge mode on. 2) I reset my E2500 Linksys router, logged into it, and set it up again to ensure my Wifi and network was secure. 3) I turned on my XboxOne, opened Network -> Advanced Settings and took note of it's IP address. 4) In my Linksys settings, within setup, I selected the DHCP Reservation button and reserved the IP address my XboxOne was using. 5) In my Linksys settings, within Application and Gaming, under Single Port Forwarding, I assigned ports 53, 80, 88, 500, 3074, 3544, and 4500 to my XboxOne's static IP address. 6) In my Linksys settings, within Application and Gaming, under Port Range Forwarding, I assigned ports 7500-17899 and 30000-40399. 7) I saved my router settings, turned it off and my XboxOne, unplugged both devices and turned them on again. 8) I opened the Network settings on my XboxOne and the NAT Type was Moderate, but I wasn't being removed from Destiny. Who ever else is experiencing this issue please give what I wrote a try and report back. If it works for others then this could be the solution we're looking for! EDIT: I forgot to mention my XboxOne was wired into my Linksys router. My Linksys router is the only device wired into my Hitron Technologies CGN3 router.

      • I feel you man. I did all the same steps as you above. Every night I get sent back to title screen a couple times, and always at least once in PoE. After I set up the static IP, and point forward my router, and I was still getting booted, I just hardwired in and last night got kicked on final boss again at Round 5. I am just getting used to playing this way.

        • Thanks for posting all the shit you did. I was about to assign custom ports per bungies support guide but sounds like it would just be a waste. I also wasted a few hours on this.

          • Apparently the Hitron CGN3 series have issues with some online games. Others have had the same problem and switching to a different router resolved those issues. https://www.bungie.net/ko/Forum/Post/117473836/1/0 http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/11835933578

          • I have the same problem. I always get kicked. It's not my Internet. It's the destiny servers. I get kicked without warning. Bungie needs to fix their shit.

Good luck getting help from bungie lol. I'm in kinda the same boat as you. Did all that I could on my end even with port forwarding and setting up a static IP address. I haven't disabled my WiFi because my family shouldn't have to suffer the loss of WiFi in our home just for one game and if only that is stopping me from getting a good connection Bungie might as well consider me not a player anymore until they follow their own advice and check their own connections.
