Less strength please
Seriously, after my hunter buys the new chest piece, I'm going to have like 400-500 strength, and that's by far our least useful stat.
We need more of this new gear to come with intellect and discipline.

1 ReplyI get what you are saying but I was able to work around this with my Warlock and got to level 34 last Sunday. It was a bit of luck and my setup only works well with Obsedian Mind and Apotheosis Veil helmets. 1. I ascended both my exotic helmets with exotic shards. 2. I did prison of Elders level 32 and got the armor core. I acquired the arms from Variks. 3. I played Trials of Osiris and got to 6 wins. I got the chest piece which had discipline only. 4. Luck, I opened the Trials of Osiris Silver package and got one Etheric light which I used to upgrade CE boots which has Intellect. Now I got a good balance of all attributes. Best way is to play the Nightfall, Trials of Osiris and Prison of Elders for a chance of Etheric Light so you can upgrade one of your existing items to balance your setup.

Strength becomes useful when Brawler is active, though. Not sure if this is just a random roll or it is Bungie putting a little braking on the level migration (too late now, 34s everywhere after a week).

Yes, never put much emphasis on strength. Did the chance thing where you use one armor and weapon core on my warlock last week just because I hardly ever use auto rifles and decided to try my luck instead of go for the gloves. Got boots with 100% intellect so worked out that time but he will probably offer them next week for an armor core. Maybe I'll try my luck again this week.

Lol you said it. I cringed every time I bought the new gear. I go for Intellect and Discipline and ignore Strength. But that's all this new stuff has...so I refused to do it on my Warlock. Went VoG instead and am hopefully going to go full ToO gear on my Titan. My Hunter though...sadly I planned on doing the Fallen gear on her so...looks like I'll be blink striking a lot lol at least until I get a surplus of etheric light so I can get my IB gear upgraded.

1 Reply100% agree BUT It's a stepping stone to getting to the higher levels and having those combat modifiers. Armor that drops randomly doesn't have those same set values. Same old grind - just a different way of making you do it. We should be able to reforge armor stats just like we do for weapon rolls.

I wouldn't mind this if stats didn't have a cap on how effective they were; if having 500 strength meant having a 200% cools down bonus I'd be all for it...

I was going to start a topic on this. Let me guess, next weeks boots or chest will also have strength...so much for being random if that rings true! At least offer 3, each with strength, intellect, or discipline, and let us choose. I know those pieces offer more than just strength, all the info I've seen shows this. Boots wouldn't bother me, they allow extra heavy like crota raid boots, easy decision. Now my armor cores will take up vault space until something available is worth getting. I'm not going to make my warlock + titan 34 just for the sake of having the #. PoE 34 was done at 33, looks like I'll have to keep doing that.

Strength is a great stat for Bladedancer or Sunsinger. The other ones... Meh

This. So many awesome looking armor sets have strength on them. It's really annoying.
